I've just been reading Elegran's thread about tingling head sensations which I've never experienced, but I was wondering if anyone else experiences the mixing up of colour, sound, gender and patterns in their heads?
For me every word has a colour which I 'see' in my mind as I read or listen. For example 'listen' is a mustard yellow, 'read' is a navy blue shading to grey blue.
A lot of music too creates patterns in my mind of woven fabric. This is generally early or Baroque music, so for example the Brandenburgs are mostly shades of purple with gold thread and flashes of the shades of yellow.
Numbers have a gender. I remember insisting to my mother that I wasn't going to be five because only boys are five and six. I would be seven next birthday. I still assign a gender to numbers.
I stopped talking about this early on as everyone thought it was totally bizarre, but I wonder if anyone else has similar sensations.
