Sorry, I need to rant !!

No reply necessary.

DD's new partners (call him Bob) ex is making a bl**dy nuisance of herself. She has been on to DD letting agent. DD's ex must have given her the details, saying that Bob is growing weed in the loft and that the house is not safe as he will wreck it. She called anonymously but forgot to withhold number grin. Her whole family have been warned not to contact our family although no actually exclusion order. Her mother approached me in Tesco last week ( used to live near me when we were young) and told me DGC weren't safe ! and my DD had done hers a favour taking him. So why all this ??
Her brother has been driving around passing DD's house several times an evening. When Bob walked to the local shop the other evening he followed him.They have had the police out once a few weeks ago. They have visited her and are sympathetic but said their hands were tied. Police are coming again today as Bob says what she's done now is slander.
DD says Bob and her now want to move well away from the are. Who can blame her.

Not sure the police can do anything about slander, think that might have to be a civil case but they can deal with harassment and this sounds like what is happening.

It really surprises me that people can be so horrible, I never realised this until recently when we started getting similar things happen to us. What do they hope to achieve? Sad people

I'm so sorry this is happening to your family. It sounds like the ex's family can't accept that Bob chose to leave her and are trying to intimidate him as a form of revenge. I can understand why your DD and Bob want to move but it's a shame that these people can get away with making them do that.

What your DD should do is log absolutely everything that happens and call the police any time she feels threatened!

Surely if this person has informed the police falsely that 'Bob' is growing weed, he could be charged with wasting police time.

If only annodomini - police and social workers get so many, sometimes entirely malicious, reports like this during acrimonious separations.

anno she didn't inform the police ( though I think she's intimated it to them previously) It was the letting agent for the property DD and Bob are living in she rang.
DD ex must have given her the contact number.

Trouble is spermie is now friends with Bob's ex so he's involved too.
