Talk sense or nonsense, I dont mind!
Or dont say anything at all.

I've still got my 4 and five figure log table books somewhere along with my slide rule.
I still regularly use trig to calculate angular problems, but it is much easier with a calculator or online.

Well its not exactly pillar box jingl but wouldn't say it was auburn either. More kind of red squirrelly. grin

I always dye my own hair. Cheap as chips and hair always lovely and soft afterwards. Mind you I have had some colour "d ee z arse ters" (darling) but its so easy just to find another colour and start again.

rosequartz Fri 14-Nov-14 18:53:32

janer why do you colour your hair if it's reddish blonde? 'I should be so lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky'

A young actor was asked on the tv this morning what Pythagoras's theorum was - he looked nonplussed, but he was caught on the hop!
I think he is in a series which includes the character Pythagoras.

cosine/cousin, more than I can manage to understand!

Hi pompa.
I do have some old maths books somewhere, and geog, eng, etc.
I do read them occasionally for a laugh.
I have a job application somewhere too. It is a lot worse than I remember. I wasnt so hot back then at some things as I thought!

soontobe Fri 14-Nov-14 19:33:45

Glad the hair dyeing went well.
Am trying to picture your disasters.

soontobe Fri 14-Nov-14 19:38:38

henetha, I have been puzzling about what you wrote.
I should imagine you quite enjoy language to do that?
And crosswords?

Soutra Fri 14-Nov-14 19:46:56

I am puzzled about why you are puzzling- or have I missed something?

Ana Fri 14-Nov-14 19:50:46

Must admit I'm rather puzzled too.

Perhaps I've become rather cynical in my old(er) age...

soontobe Fri 14-Nov-14 19:53:37

Dreaming of spelling words is puzzling to me.

Elegran Fri 14-Nov-14 20:08:35

Dreams are only relevant to the dreamer, they are of things that interest that person, or memories from their past or worries for the future.

What do you dream about, soontobe ?

Ana Fri 14-Nov-14 20:09:39

Dreams aren't always logical, are they?

I often dream that I'm trying to get somewhere but I'm thwarted at every turn and then get really worried about being late. It's very common to have anxiety dreams.

soontobe Fri 14-Nov-14 20:16:55

My dreams are things that sort of could happen.
Everyday things with a bit of a silly or unusual twist.

One memorable one was of me in a bus with my mil.
The bus went into town, and entered a hotel. We went up the stairs, and down another set of stairs in the bus. And came out a different door.

Another one.
A village I know had a village fete. But the stall were not just in the village hall. There were stalls along most of the streets.

That sort of thing.

I dont think that I ever dream worry dreams. Or scary ones.

Ana Fri 14-Nov-14 20:22:48

Lucky you.

whitewave Fri 14-Nov-14 20:27:10

What does it mean when you dream that you are naked? I sometimes have that dream. blush

Ana Fri 14-Nov-14 20:31:24

It means that you have a secret fear of the 'inner you' being exposed, whitewave!
(Or so I've read...wink)

whitewave Fri 14-Nov-14 20:35:58

Oh, not sure what my inner me is, will I know it when it is exposed?! Great to think I have a secret self though, thought I was quite ordinary.

Ana Fri 14-Nov-14 20:37:39

I think really it's just another anxiety-type dream, whitewave, and going out and suddenly realising you've got no clothes on is a common one smile.

gillybob Sat 15-Nov-14 00:22:07

I always dream a complete jumble Elegran I always think of a "dream" being a computer program getting all mixed up and spewing out a mixup . That would kind of sum up my dreams. People from way way way in the past mixed up with the present in totally odd situations..... A kind of strawberry fields.....

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 14:23:21

I always seem to be trying to find a loo in my dreams. No mystery there. blush Sometimes it's even worse - trying to find a loo AND nude!

soontobe I make my hair more beige because in electric light I have often been asked if I have coloured my hair pink, or orange. Also, I now have a white streak about an inch across just above my fringe to the right, and am starting to get a few strays dotted elsewhere, and as I have a pale skin ( makeup or dove lotion sorts that out usually) I look truly dreadful in the morning.

There's a photo of me now on my profile. I think the beige is just starting to wear off in it and the orange strawberry about to make a break for it.

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 14:24:31

Yup, you can even see the Bride of Frankenstein stripe if you look carefully!

Galen Sat 15-Nov-14 14:41:56

Noah told the animals to go forth and multiply.
The snakes said 'we can't, we're adders!'
So he built them log tables!

Riverwalk Sat 15-Nov-14 14:45:04

In my dreams I'm often naked .... trying to get from A to B without anyone noticing!

Seems we're all anxious grin

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 14:45:31

grin

Oh how I hated those. Along with slide rules.

Galen Sat 15-Nov-14 14:47:44

And me!

Marmight Sat 15-Nov-14 14:52:08

I am suffering today after a bit of a do in Glasgow yesterday - I think it must be affecting my ability to comprehend this thread - please tell me it's the hangover and nothing else? I feel I am lost in a parallel universe confusedgrinconfused
