I can't really remember*soontobe*, surprising what a difference 30 years makes grin
I think it went over a couple of months, a combination of hair washing and growing out. It was very short.

janerowena Sun 16-Nov-14 18:01:31

Yes, mine wash out. They never last as long as they say they will on the packet though. It's supposed to last six weeks but I'm lucky if it lasts a month. But if you make a mistake with the colour, all you need to do is keep on washing it I suppose.

How long did she have it that colour for?

Once upon a time, I did used to look at the boxes of hair dye.
I think back then, some were longer lasting, and some were wash in, and could wash out?

Not sure if things have changed since then, or not.

When DD was 17, she came home from college one day with VERY short hair coloured pillar box red.
DH was horrified. I thought she looked fantastic.

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 23:39:44

Have pity on poor DBH! I don't know why he doesn't want me to be red, but he gets quite irked if I mention it.

One day DS and I were discussing what we would do if DBH were to die. As you do. grin I said I would dye my hair red. DS said he would get a dog.

I suppose I should ask DBH what he would do if I were to die. Fair's fair. I suspect he would marry an ash-blonde cat-fancier.

Come on janer we don't want beige, we want to see a rich auburn red!! (says she who is a non-descript brown) grin

I loved DD2's when it was blonde (natural) with pink tips. DH said you like it?

soontobe Sat 15-Nov-14 20:55:10

ooh, it is blue!

Galen Sat 15-Nov-14 20:23:16

If we are all figments of imagination, just imagine your hair the colour you want and so it will be!smile

soontobe Sat 15-Nov-14 19:55:07

janerowena and gillybob are giving me food for thought hairwise. Now if only I could find some courage...

I think that space is infinite. Weird thought.

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 19:33:54

It's only real in your/someone's imagination, galen!

So maybe rosequartz is right.

Or Ariadne.

Maybe everything is imaginary.

Love,

Schrodinger's cat.

Ariadne Sat 15-Nov-14 19:26:54

Think I'd go for the latter..

rosequartz Sat 15-Nov-14 16:27:04

janer a friend has similar colour hair which was going grey and she has dyed it a darker shade of red - it's lovely!

Marmight it's gone from hi to rice pudding to trigonometry to hair dye via highways and byways - perhaps this thread is all a dream (or a nightmare!)

Galen Sat 15-Nov-14 15:10:52

If infinity is imaginary, why is infinity minus one real?

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 15:05:49

We are all parallel lines really, aren't we Galen. Metaphorically speaking. All in our own little parallel worlds. (Move over, psychology thread)

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 15:03:59

Blame my mathematician OH, marmight. I do.

annodomini Sat 15-Nov-14 14:59:17

Oh, Marmight what have those Weegies done to you?

Galen Sat 15-Nov-14 14:54:04

No, we're beyond that! We're where parallel lines meet!

Marmight Sat 15-Nov-14 14:52:08

I am suffering today after a bit of a do in Glasgow yesterday - I think it must be affecting my ability to comprehend this thread - please tell me it's the hangover and nothing else? I feel I am lost in a parallel universe confusedgrinconfused

Galen Sat 15-Nov-14 14:47:44

And me!

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 14:45:31

grin

Oh how I hated those. Along with slide rules.

Riverwalk Sat 15-Nov-14 14:45:04

In my dreams I'm often naked .... trying to get from A to B without anyone noticing!

Seems we're all anxious grin

Galen Sat 15-Nov-14 14:41:56

Noah told the animals to go forth and multiply.
The snakes said 'we can't, we're adders!'
So he built them log tables!

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 14:24:31

Yup, you can even see the Bride of Frankenstein stripe if you look carefully!

janerowena Sat 15-Nov-14 14:23:21

I always seem to be trying to find a loo in my dreams. No mystery there. blush Sometimes it's even worse - trying to find a loo AND nude!

soontobe I make my hair more beige because in electric light I have often been asked if I have coloured my hair pink, or orange. Also, I now have a white streak about an inch across just above my fringe to the right, and am starting to get a few strays dotted elsewhere, and as I have a pale skin ( makeup or dove lotion sorts that out usually) I look truly dreadful in the morning.

There's a photo of me now on my profile. I think the beige is just starting to wear off in it and the orange strawberry about to make a break for it.

gillybob Sat 15-Nov-14 00:22:07

I always dream a complete jumble Elegran I always think of a "dream" being a computer program getting all mixed up and spewing out a mixup . That would kind of sum up my dreams. People from way way way in the past mixed up with the present in totally odd situations..... A kind of strawberry fields.....
