So hi to one and all! smile

Talk sense or nonsense, I dont mind!
Or dont say anything at all.

soontobe Thu 13-Nov-14 20:55:29

I am soontobe, well quite a lot I think.
I was at a crossroads about a year ago.
Husband and I took 1 route, but not sure we will stay on it.
Basically, my life has been in 2 equal distinctive parts so far.
And has largely gone according to plan.
But curiously, as others seem to be mainly sort of settling into older age, we are soontobe, well, we dont quite know!
Which in some ways is nice, as I dont necessarily like too much routine, but we dont know if we will move[where to, as kids keep moving all over], and business wise, we may sell, stay, move, downsize?
And kids are entering relationships, marrying etc.

soontobe's relative wot counts cobbles!

No, you lot are confusing me even more, she counts parking spaces!

janerowena Thu 13-Nov-14 20:58:00

Now I will really confuse the issue - whatever it is...

soontobe offers so much choice, doesn't it? smile

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 13-Nov-14 20:58:48

But who goes under a counter board. And has time to compute. And what's a counter board?

And what's a cosine?

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 13-Nov-14 20:59:45

Oh! The road sign!

I've got it! smile

soontobe Thu 13-Nov-14 20:59:58

Yes my relative counts parking spaces.

My post about her going under the counter board is in answer to a question from gillybob.
But it is in a wrong place, so even I looked at it and thought someone was using my name!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 13-Nov-14 21:00:36

grin

soontobe Thu 13-Nov-14 21:02:08

Perhaps it is not called a counter board.

It is a very large electronic board, which lists the car parks in the town, and how many spaces are currently free.
May be only some towns have them?

My relative is a very quick counter of numbers.
She evn manages to annoy herself doing it.

soontobe Thu 13-Nov-14 21:03:55

I do rather like the name janerowena.
Covers all eventualities really!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 13-Nov-14 21:03:56

Yes alright! I know what you mean! We have them as well. hmm

soontobe Thu 13-Nov-14 21:13:04

Sorry smile
Didnt know how usual they were.
I am not the most travelled person in the world.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 13-Nov-14 22:11:06

It's ok. I was joking. smile

soontobe Thu 13-Nov-14 22:27:58

Oh good.
You had me worried. smile

Galen Thu 13-Nov-14 22:52:53

A cosine is algebra (I think)

Soutra Thu 13-Nov-14 22:59:03

Trigonometry?

soontobe Thu 13-Nov-14 23:02:15

Ahhh
Cosines sines and tangents!
I remember now.
[thought cosine was cousin spelt wrongly earlier]

Cant remember whether they are trigonometry or not as completely forgotten what trigonemetry is or means other than it is definitely maths related as well.

Ana Thu 13-Nov-14 23:03:21

Oh yes! Sines and cosines, I remember now.

Never had cause to use them since school though!

soontobe Thu 13-Nov-14 23:04:04

Have got Elegrans joke now too.

But must go to bed now.

Elegran Thu 13-Nov-14 23:36:41

I think the cosine/cousin mis-spelling was joke on tangents/relations. More intellectual than the nuns on bicycles.

rosequartz Fri 14-Nov-14 10:32:59

We had a little book full of sines, cosines, tangents, square roots etc at school. It went into the bin when I left.

Now I have files full of cousins, second cousins, seventh cousins once removed. More interesting, relatively speaking. They will probably go into the bin when I pop my clogs.

gillybob Fri 14-Nov-14 10:59:37

Hello Time Wasters.

Thought I would pop in to announce that the hair dye was a great success and I am now officially a red head. Well at least until the white streaks appear anyway. smile

Its raining heavily here so I must make sure to have my brolly with me or I could end up with red dribbles running down my back.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 14-Nov-14 11:04:41

What. Really red. Not just auburn? Wow!

I might do that. Going up town now so will look at colours. smile

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 14-Nov-14 11:05:34

Sun has just come out here. So I will walk.

whitewave Fri 14-Nov-14 11:06:25

Good to hear of your successful hair colour, I was reading somewhere that home colouring has improved enormously. Just off to do mother's shopping - it seems to have stopped raining so that is something.

janerowena Fri 14-Nov-14 11:08:14

Yes, I meant cosines and tangents. I did think it was perhaps a bit late at night. grin

Does the red suit you? I am naturally a reddish blond, but I add a beige colour to tone it down. I went slightly redder once and DBH hated it, as he doesn't usually comment adversely I had to take him seriously. I would love to be brave enough, and to have a slightly darker skin, to carry off a good bright auburn.
