I was reading today how some women (and I suppose some men too) have a handbag fettish and can't buy enough of them.

Now tell me this do they keep switching the contents to each new bag or do they have separate purses, make up,comb, tissues and all the paraphernalia we carry about each day ?

I got a liner because my Mulberry bag, despite the hefty price tag, did not have any pockets or indeed even a fabric lining shock

Mulberry harrigran shock

Don't think I have seen one of those in TX Maax

Or even in TK Maxx!

I'm getting a feeling of déja vu about this thread!

I have loads of different bags collected over the years mostly leather but always come back to my trusty black leather bucket bag which I bought in the late 60s,it gets treated with weather protector every year and it's like saying hello to an old friend every time I get it out to use.
I don't use a bag liner as such but use a see through make-up bag to hold all my essentials and move from one bag to another as and when.

Never heard of a handbag liner - followed the link - what a wonderful idea!

My black leather winter handbag has compartments like the handbag liner. I can never find anything, always forget which compartment I put what into.

I love handbags, especially leather, and have heaps of them, and swap contents daily depending on mood/outfit/where i am going - I also have three briefcases for work !

My handbag liners are nothing like that monstrosity that jings posted! They look more like thin silk embroidered evening bags, with a zip top and little pockets inside and change purse on the outside. Big enough for keys, small amount of makeup, tissues, phone, pen and small wallet.

Love handbags, must be leather as it wears well and can look even better with age. I change mine depending on what I'm doing and where I'm going.
Currently on holiday so tan leather backpack style for travelling and dark jade, pocketed shoulder bag for sight seeing. Seriously tempted by the huge bag sections in the department stores. X

I have far too many handbags/shoulderbags. If I count them I shall feel guilty.I like suede or leather, but also have some material ones [man made fibre] which are really lightweight.Don't use a bag liner, as KittyLester says, they are all shapes and sizes with pockets/no pockets etc. Also I don't always have exactly the same things for different outings.

Monstrosity from a size point of view only, they do look very practical. You might convert me yet. My silk embroidered ones aren't particularly durable. They look as frayed round the edges as I do.
