I'm also lurking in a corner of Soop's kitchen. It's raining and gloomy which about reflects my mood. DH has an appointment with his oncologist tomorrow so will get the result of his CT scan. I'm scared stiff

A feeling of calm is what I could do with most of all right now. Just stick me back in a quiet corner of the kitchen and pretend I am not there.

The highs and lows of life all reflected here in the kitchen, it is a lovely place.

I had a bit of an unfortunate incident yesterday in a place known to some of you.

A friend and I were parking her car outside Kelvingrove Museum. She had gone off to feed the meter while I meandered over to read the inscription on a war memorial.

I have no clear recollection of what happened but suddenly I was on the ground hearing someone shouting 'oh my god are you all right'.

It seems I was struck by her car as she reversed out of a parking space..

I was a bit shocked, shaky and lightheaded but when my friend arrived on the scene I just wanted to get away so on my insistence we continued on our way. My wrist hurt like hell but I thought it would get better so we went to the cinema as planned.

The upshot was that the pain didn't improve and I spent last evening in A&E.
A broken wrist was not what I expected to come home with when we set out yesterday

soutra I've also experienced that "strange feeling of calm" once or twice in my life, so I know what you mean.

I wish a peaceful day for all, with so much going on. Hope we all get a bit of today.

"losd"??? I meant load of course!

Heartfelt to so many kitcheners with a losd on their mind - bellasnana, lona, kittylester, soop and mcsporran and any I have missed. Some years ago when DH was in the middle of one of his crises- aortic aneurysm I think or maybe pneumonia, whatever, , I was feeling very at the end of my rope one night and a strange feeling of somebody or something sharing my worry sort of slipped over me. I am not one for religious experiences, but felt strangely comforted. If I can wish you one thing it would be that " peace of mind" moment which I felt. All was (eventually) well and I wish for you that your sorrows and worries will also pass.

Crafting I don't mind at all.

My meeting with Bella will be the day before my 70th birthday!
So I'm doubly looking forward to it!

Lona sorry I called you Lorna in my last post. I've had a glass (or two) of and am not concentrating as I should.

Congratulations to you and your family AlieO. My two youngest GSs were born in Oxford and they and their mum had very good treatment First one was 10lbs 9oz, breech and emergency CS! Your poor DD has has a rough time but is in good hands. I'm sure she will feel better very soon. Bella, you really don't deserve such ingratitude. However, a meeting with Galen is certain to raise your spirits. I am at Sandhurst celebrating my birthday with DS1's family.

Bella really sorry your DDs have caused you so much upset. You have enough to worry about at the moment. ((Huggs))
