Should we allow this to continue?

Is it besmirching name of Gransnet? (We all know which gransnetter is responsible for most of it)

Is there anyone in the neighbourhood willing, and able, (especially able) to climb a tree and stay there. Could the kitcheners supply the necessary rations to the protestor?

PUT DOWN THAT CHAINSAW

The places I went on holiday never had washing-machines. Plus it was useful for carrying all sorts of stuff. Impromptu seat. Etc. Dead useful.

nellynolan they always come out with these things at the wrong moment don't they. At least it wasn't you who taught her the naughty swear words. smile

A bucket.

thatbags Sat 13-Sept-14 20:39:23

It's Oor WULLIE!!

In my yoof, I always travelled with a bucket in his honour. It was ever so useful.

nellynolan Sat 13-Sept-14 20:38:40

I wish my son in law had used that expression a couple of weeks ago then I wouldn't have had my DGD telling me in in a very loud voice in her local Waitrose cafe that 'My Mummy doesn't like f**king hell' shock

Agus Sat 13-Sept-14 20:36:36

God it's hard work on here sometimes grin

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 13-Sept-14 20:31:18

I'll shut up now.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 13-Sept-14 20:31:04

That Willy actually says "jings" as well as the rest of it. When you google it.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 13-Sept-14 20:30:05

You should have put this - "you've got me stumped".

See?

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 13-Sept-14 20:29:08

Well. Yes. I thought that's what you meant, and I did think it was funny. BUT you should have put the "stumped" in quote marks. Then I would have known for sure that's what you meant. And I would have responded appropriately.

Lesson over. hmm wink

Agus Sat 13-Sept-14 20:25:49

Get it? Tree stump! Oh well, I thought it was funny.
wanders off mumbling, totally stumped^- ^tree stump.

A must every Sunday Anno

annodomini Sat 13-Sept-14 20:16:54

Oh, baubles, you take me back to the days when I used to pop round to Granny's house to read Oor Wullie and the Broons in the Sunday Post which my dad wouldn't have in our house.

Agus Sat 13-Sept-14 20:09:50

Ha, ha, ha, you've got me stumped!

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 13-Sept-14 20:07:29

Oh my gosh! I just googled that phrase Baubles said! How funny! shock

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 13-Sept-14 20:04:34

Oh yes. I think we should have a log splitter. DH considers it beneath him though. hmm

Baubles - sorry. You've got me totally stumped there. confused

thatbags Sat 13-Sept-14 19:33:59

Google chainsaw sculptures. I wish I was skilled enough to do amazing stuff like that.

thatbags Sat 13-Sept-14 19:31:21

Oh, hello! smile

Don't worry, jings, there are more seedlings and saplings than I can cope with. It's mainly rhododendron I have to hack back and make into firewood. And then there are the old trees that fall over in our garden—threewithin the last year and another one going.

My next tool will be a log splitter. The current log splitter (MrBags) is wearing out.

Thistledoo Sat 13-Sept-14 19:26:52

Ok Jings got it now. Do you think Bags is becoming dangerous, maybe we should all go to her house and investigate this strange behaviour with said chainsaw. We could all take cake to calm her down!

baubles Sat 13-Sept-14 19:21:40

Think you'll have to do your trademark shout out to Baaaaggggggssssss grin

Jings crivvens and help ma boab!!

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 13-Sept-14 19:13:50

It's just a mild piss-take of Bags, Thistledoo.

She's always grabbing a chainsaw and going out to her garden. wink

Thistledoo Sat 13-Sept-14 14:09:20
