I've only just seen this, Phoenix, we've been away again. I'm delighted to hear the news and wish you all the luck in the world. Well done!
Also just caught up with your new arrival, hope he's settled down now.

nannyfran you are such a gadabout! Have pm'd you!

Re the clothes, I made a trip to our outlet village thing for a bit of a browse in M&S.

Luckily I had a friend with me who was able to deal with my despair at having:
A) Not been able to do up trousers in a size bigger than I used to be sad

B) To need a tissue to wipe my eyes after actually seeing my self in a full length mirror for the first time in ages. I'm all bum and tum! How did that happen? I just might have been able to tolerate it if the bosom fairy had paid a visit, but I think she must either have retired or been made redundant.

C) To make a heartfelt plea to hide all sharp objects once we got back.

I was so upset I had to have a ham and tomato ciabatta roll and a custard tart for lunch to get over the trauma!

Charleygirl Sun 24-Aug-14 17:38:09

phoenix looking in mirrors is not good for your general health and welfare, hence the compensatory lunch.

Have you got a Bon Marche near you? Admittedly many of the present tops on display would look better hanging on a window but I found a couple of plain tops there 2 days ago.

Their bras are very cheap and no wonder. I bought 2 but I would need 6" added to each side to be able to fasten it. grin

Anne58 Sun 24-Aug-14 18:12:19

Oh heavens Charleygirl my bra problems would fill a book! (But, alas, not a cup!) M&S A cup leave me with room to stow my hanky, if you know what I mean. I have resigned myself to either Primark air bras, or gel ones that I can order on line from Debenhams. Either way, when I take my bra off my bosoms go with it confused blush. Still, I suppose the up-side is that I am very unlikely to suffer from the dreaded droop!

No, my current resolve still stands, I have three pairs of trousers that I can get into (ok, they all have stretch waists, but I won't tell if you don't blush ) 1 black, 1 navy, 1 brown. I have selected some existing tops that I hope flatter, and ordered 3 new ones (tunic style) from the M&S on-line sale.

I have my extra magnifying mirror to do my eye make-up (would definitely not use it for any other purpose!), have recently had a cut and colour and my eyebrows, lip and chin waxed confused blush so am as good to go as I will ever be!

Charleygirl Sun 24-Aug-14 18:37:44

Sounds good phoenix just do not turn up tomorrow. A nice 4 day week for you. the very best of luck flowers
