I have just sat for a coffee break in the middle of the weekly housework and listened to Vaughn Williams "Lark Ascending".
I live on the South Downs and this piece of music absolutely transports me to the many walks I have had on the Downs with the grasses and wild flowers blowing in the breeze and larks singing their hearts out.

It is sublime. In fact I wouldn't mind listening to this as I pass out of this mortal coil!!!

Bonnie Dundee about Graham of Claverhouse and The Road and the Miles to Dundee. As children we always sang the latter on the way home from holidays and day-trips.

No apology mcem. I knew it was up wi' the bonnets. We sang it at school and I have heard it often over the years.
