As my niece is getting married in a couple of weeks, I was hunting through my handbags to see whether there was one that would go with my outfit. Needless to say there wasn't, but I did find three black clutch bags! 
As I never use a clutch bag unless I'm really dressed up, which is hardly ever, why have I got 3?
Other things of which I have loads are black t-shirts, white t-shirts and black trousers. I once read that Anthea Turner said a woman could never have too many pairs of black trousers, so I'm ok there 
And tupperware!! Not my fault! I give the children stuff in tupperware, I run out, buy more, they give it back, I can't close the cupboard! 
Is there anything you seem to have in abundance and is it justified?
I sorted out all my bags last month.
I kept 2 good leather satchel cross body bags, one in tan and one black. A smaller quality black leather bag for dress up. And 2 others, 1 x taupe, 1 x multi coloured beaded stunning, and goes with everything. So I have 5 bags in total.
Every other one (about ten) went onto eBay. And those remaining are stored in the blanket chest that I use as a coffee table.
The 5 bags that I have were all bought on eBay. All of them are in the posh/expensive range, perhaps £200/£300 when new, but I bought them for around £20. It's great to feel the lovely soft leather well worn in, and if one is a disappointment I just put it onto eBay and resell it 
Mine is jugs. I have about 20, big, small, medium, glass, pottery, china, silver, vintage, new, whatever.... I love the shapes, they're so organic, and I can't resist when I see a nice one. I go into shops muttering to myself "No more jugs! No more jugs!" But if there turns out to be a pretty one, I'm a pushover.

In the olden days when I was working I was quite ruthless about bagging up perfectly and often expensive but surplus shoes trousers etc for the benefit of our local charity shops. How I regret that now! I can think of lots of comfy shoes and assorted trousers and jackets that I could use now but a) are no longer available and b) can't afford any more

soutra I was thinking the same thing! Scarves don't cost much though, so let's continue indulging ourselves.

Shoes - I have 18 pairs in a box under my desk at work alone, I daren't begin to count how many at home.
Scarves - a box full. People buy me them, they look lovely, I never wear them.
Plastic bags - sorted by colour and kept in bigger plastic bags. Well, they could come in one day, couldn't they?
China - I collected 120 cup/saucer/plate sets from charity shops and car boot sales for DD2's wedding and they are just too pretty to get rid of.
Booze - beer in my case. I buy it for parties then guests bring more. I've just had to sort it into stacked boxes, with the most out-of-date bottles in the top one.
Books - I hate parting with any I enjoyed reading.
Knickers - I've just counted. 48 pairs.
Magazines - the pile is now 2 foot high, and there's another higher one in the cellar.
I'm going to end up having to tunnel my way into the house if I don't get a grip some time soon.
Sadly, I need to catch up on the grandchildren front - only 2 so far, but I have hopes of a larger collection in due course!
