God morning all, I think a bright day will come, a little misty here at the moment. A bit sad yesterday, cutting back some very overgrown ivy, we discovered a blackbirds nest with two eggs. I was so sure they had all fledged, I am really cross with myself. However, this morning for the first time this year, saw the goldfinches, they were enjoying a drink. Enjoy your days.

Good morning all, another beautiful day here but won't be enjoying the great outdoors today......work starts on new kitchen tomorrow, so a massive clear out today, oh joy!!

The sun is out in N W London. I woke up early thinking I had to go and babysit three sick little ones but their mum set off for work and had to go home as she is ill too so I am off the hook. Going to shorten four pairs of trousers. Oh joy!

Good morning all!

Sticky but overcast here in North Leicestershire this morning!

The weekly Sainsbury trip looms this morning with my two year old helper in tow! Then lunch out with a couple of friends!

Printmiss, it's a difficult time of year isn't it? We need to cut back the ivy on the fence as it's encroaching on the apple tree but we are not sure if all the birds have fledged!

Enjoy your days everyone sunshine

It is glorious here in NW London. This is my day of culture, going to see Kenwood House at Hampstead, have not been there for many years. There are around 15 of us going.

Mornin' folks!

Lovely to read all your early posts!

Was up 6.30, did a few minutes on my state of the art 'Pro-Am' excercycle then approx 30 mins meditation. Booted up 'Lappy' my lap top & charged up 'Tabby' my Samsung tablet which I usually take to bed. My wife Ellie, in Illinois, is very understanding!!!!!

Although I am disabled I try to keep fit despite smoking a pipe!!!
I used to be a keen cyclist, swimmer & hill walker until 2000 when I broke a hip replacement. Since 1980 had 4 hip replacements because of osteoarthritis diagnosed in my mid 30s but now sadly virtually housebound.

Finally, would just like to thank those who have welcomed me onto this Forum.

Have a great day folks! See y'all & enjoy!

Dave xx

Bit of light cloud here in North Devon, and a gentle breeze. Taking Maurice to the vet for a second blood test, let's hope he is better behaved than last time.

Enjoy your day Charleygirl it's nice to have an outing from time to time.

Just wondering if it's ok to have a shower now, I've only been able to have baths since Friday as I had to keep my stitches dry, but it looks ok so I think I'll risk it!

Dragonfly1 Thu 19-Jun-14 08:32:41

It's another dull start in south Staffs. Have littlest all day, biggest after school, Sainsburys and town shopping too. Hope the sun comes out. Phoenix, stitches? Did I miss something?

Lona Thu 19-Jun-14 08:33:51

Rather a gloomy day but quite warm. Doesn't matter as I'm only going shoppng.

Went to see "Belle" yesterday, and I'm sure it was Kenwood House where she was supposed to live, Charleygirl hmm I think......
Anyway it was good, we enjoyed it, although I don't know how much of it was true.

Have a good Thursday folks smile

rosesarered Thu 19-Jun-14 08:37:46

Yes phoenix I was thinking 'stitches'? What have you done, had an accident?
Bright and sunny in Oxfordshire, another hot day I think.I should wash a few windows, but lack the pep at the moment, so may just sit out with a book. sunshine

Anne58 Thu 19-Jun-14 08:55:22

Sorry, a bit absent minded of me! I had a slightly suspect mole removed.

Nelliemoser Thu 19-Jun-14 08:57:19

Oldgreymare Thu 19-Jun-14 09:11:43

Lovely here in Somerset, looks like yesterday's breeze will continue to keep us cooler.
2nd phase of goosebery jelly making.... 4lbs made and more to come. Lots of GBs frozen too.
Ladies' day at Ascot, wish I were there envy

Nelliemoser Thu 19-Jun-14 09:14:52

Nannnotgarn I have a Google nexus tablet and spent some time yesterday putting a lot of events into the calender. Could I find them later? i eventually discovered what I thought was the list of the days of the month were the lists of hours for the 24 hr clock on yesterdays dates.

I think the only answer is to spend as much time as possible digging about with new toys like these so that you really get the hang of how they work.

Galen Thu 19-Jun-14 09:16:53

Lovely in Southampton.
On my way home now.

Nelliemoser Thu 19-Jun-14 09:26:19

NanKate Thu 19-Jun-14 09:53:42

Morning All and Mick.

Just off to raid Waitrose before the family arrives tomorrow for the weekend, to celebrate my DS's 40th - gosh the time has just flown. Wish I could do it all again but with the knowledge I have now.

Gagagran Thu 19-Jun-14 10:13:22

Morning all from a beautiful day in SE Hampshire. Summer perfection - and my sweet peas are blooming lovely!

We did the supermarket run early and were back home by 8am. It's well worth going early as it's so much quieter. I hate crowded supermarkets!

Nothing much planned for today so I plan to just potter and enjoy the lovely day.

Happy days everyone! sunshine

nannotgran Thu 19-Jun-14 11:13:10
