Lona What a brilliant match in every way. The playing was superb. As was the sportsman-like behaviour. Wow! Such energy! I was screaming for Stepanek to win the second set tie-break. It was one of the BEST matches that I've ever seen. Didn't the crowd love it. It really was a pity that there had to be a loser. Yet, Stepanek was given a standing ovation and signed autographs, which must have made his day feel extraordinarily special.

Agus I'm also sending special (((hugs))) especially for your dear husband's swift recovery. The stent should give him a new lease of life. Yes indeed, every step that our grandchildren take imprints itself on our hearts. My youngest son's first teacher was Mrs Savier. My son informed me that she must be married to Jesus.

It sounds it! What an end to your cruise. I could have understood something similar happening on the ocean wave, under a starry sky and the affluence of incohol, but doing such a mundane thing as picking up an earring!

The night I came back from my cruise, I dropped an earring, bent over and fell catching my right forearm. Have completely removed the entire skin layer for about 3"x3"

My arm, which I had a de gloving injury on a week ago in a fall, is really hurting and means I CBA to cook anything.

You are right Soutra I think my GP will say I have a community virus when I see him tomorrow, as I have had lurgies for almost 4 weeks now and nothing works, including anti-biotics.I am a shadow of my former self! Well, to be accurate, I feel like a shadow etc but the truth is I look the same weight, but as pale as death and with bags under the bags and a miserable expression [when I catch sight of myself unexpectedly in a mirror.]That's why I am here in the kitchen sinking some iced gin and lemon that somebody left on the table.Things look a little better to me now, so I will settle down in the comfy chair in the corner and have a nap.

Everyone but the children were 'greetin' Soutra. DD2 aged 3 when she started nursery couldn't say her teacher's name properly and called Mrs. Moran, Mrs. Ran until,she could master the name. Today, with an impish smile, she said, bye, bye, Mrs Ran which set the teacher off again!

Oh Agus keeping fingers crossed for you both. DGS1 had his last day at nursery yesterday too as the family are off to France.until August and he too starts "big school" in September. I do not think his little bro realises that he will be going on his own come September and he will miss him. Plus the new baby is due at the end of August so I predict ructions!

Sad event today collecting GD2 from her last day at nursery. She is officially a 'big girl' now who,will be starting school in August

DH had a stent inserted on Monday. All went well and he is just taking it easy for a few days and hopefully we will see a big improvement soon as a stent is known to function almost immediately.

Soop I dread hearing that you have been.told "Its a virus" i.e. we don't know what it is or else a "community virus" i.e. we don't know what it is, but there's a lot of it about

Thanks for the G&T and raspberries and clotted cream and all the other goodies. I'm preparing myself for another day of ...I wish that I didn't feel so guilty about sitting around.
