I would define a twirly as a ringlet of hair or as a dance move.

or maybe a staircase around a central pole as in towers in fairy tales

or the DNA molecule

Someone with a bus pass who tries to use it before the allotted time. The bus driver will say 'sorry you're twirley'.

What on earth is a doofah?

Surely a twirlie is what two young girls would do spinning in the playground and I thought a doofah was something like a thingamebob.
