I cleaned the hinge seal on the bottom of the dishwasher door, it was very gunky (if there is such a word)

What was your worst job today?

I spent the whole afternoon cleaning the inside walls of a small building that used to be a chapel and is now a prayer room. My husband has just fitted a small kitchen there and the new white units showed up all the grime that's accumulated on the surrounding woodwork. It was one of those jobs that you get half-way through and wonder why you started it and then when it's finished leaves you with a great feeling of satisfaction. We're all (our church 'family') having a cream tea there tomorrow and I'm looking forward to seeing people's faces when they see all the work that's been done.

DD1 has just taken on the tenancy of a house, asking for it to be unfurnished. We found tables, chairs, wardrobes etc. smashed up and hidden behind and beside the garden shed! With permission we took many trips to the waste recycling centre. When one of the staff watched me empty a bag of broken hard plastic for landfill he spotted fragments of plasterboard mixed in, whereupon I was told I had contaminated the whole bin which would have to be removed and hand sorted! I had no idea I had broken the rules, and still don't know why. Unfortunately I had to visit a few more times and endure his evil stare!

Cleaning out my "wendy house" (garden shed). It was thick with cobwebs, dust and leaves etc. I ended up removing everything and hoovering it out. I nearly tripped over the clutter outside the shed several times and I am lucky I didn't do myself a mischief.

What really made me angry is the way OH disappears when anyone says the words " please could you just help". His faffing about doing God knows what on the computer is obviously more important than helping someone else. Sorry to rant.

I have still not finished and at 6:00pm, I just threw what was not weather proof back in. More more to do tomorrow.
