When is a saying not a quote?
Enjoyed a bit of a "Shakespeare year" in 2013 - Hamlet, As You Like it, Much Ado, all the Henrys, Richard II and III, Winter's Tale to name just the ones I remember (!) and it seemed as if every other line was a well-known quote/saying!!

Well, I'm planning to tootle off to bed fairly soon, as I start my new job tomorrow!

Loads of thanks to all who have wished me well, your support has been very much valued over my job hunting time, especially as apparently according to one member who sent me a less than delightful PM, I have posted daily about it and been very boring!

@numberplease - your Grandma was quoting Shakespeare - Hamlet. The speech comes where Polonius is seeing his son Laertes off on a trip to England. Act 1 Scene 3:

We seem to have plethora of threads on sayings- old ones, favourite ones, daft ones, funny ones, out of date ones, wise ones ,sayings we heard from our mums or grannies do we actually need another?
