I've just had my upper lip waxed for the very first time in my life.

Painful or what?

fitted a loo seat; mundane , but no one else is there to do it..

I recently had a partial denture fitted, crowns and bridges no longer an option and couldn't afford implants. Really feel relegated to a different sector of society! Never realised that I was going to have to eat and talk differently. Quite depressed by it, which is ridiculous when you see what real hardships people are going through and would swap with me in a heartbeat!!!

liz - It's all relative. Just because someone's hardships are worse, doesn't mean that you can help feeling bad about your own. If it makes you feel any better smile I have had dentures since I was 11. sad Never came to terms with it to be honest and that was 53 years ago!

Just been a film extra in a movie being shot locally. :-)

OMG, that's really tough KatyK, we're the same age and you've had them for so much longer than me. I won't beat myself up about coming to terms with it yet then, as have only had them three weeks smile

Liz - just re-read my post. Sorry if it came over as though you shouldnt feel depressed about it as ive had them all those years. Of course it will make you feel low. Its only natural. Bit of self pity on my part there!

I smiled when I read that as I have a new loo seat, still in the box, waiting for me to attempt fitting it; I tend to give it a dubious look and leave it for another day. So what you see as mundance, others can a bit envious that you got on with it instead of procrastinating!

Katy- far from it, read it as though I COULD feel depressed as you still found it hard to come to terms with after all these years. I'm still in the fledgling stage so to speak! :D x
