Hi BohemianSaw the Doctor yesterday and she has given me a 4 week trial of Pramipexole, which is, I understand, usually prescribed for people with Parkinson's disease to help control twitching and tremors in the daytime. I have to take 1 tablet before bedtime to see if it will calm down my kicking legs and flailing arm. I have taken the first tablet with, I must admit, some trepidation, having read the accompanying leaflet - both Dr and Pharmacist stressed that I MUST read it. Among all the usual 'this medication may cause' things like nausea, drowsiness, etc. I note in the less likely list that I might become addicted to gambling or compulsive shopping and might experience weight loss. If I am to have any of these I hope it is the last one.
Not expecting instant results but fingers crossed that this will do the trick and allow me peaceful nights.
