Must be a Saturday night favourite Ana grin
Nonu Yes Poppy certainly can pull at the heart strings and had really made herself at home such a pity we had to loose the other little chap just to find her (does that make sense) ? think I may have had a wee bit too much wine my words don't look right. hmm must remember to put the clocks right before we close the bar or else we will be opening late to-morrow and that will never do.

Ana Sat 29-Mar-14 21:22:56

Nonu! shock Is curry an aphrodisiac for you and MrN then?

Nonu Sat 29-Mar-14 21:19:11

T he old duvet will be rising up and down !

Great minds think alike Nonu I did a chicken curry for dinner this evening just finished a few minutes ago,now feet up and glass of wine I may wander down to the Bar later for last orders if I can keep my eyes open,I've been down to the beach with Poppy and I think all that fresh air has done me in for the night. If you pop in have one for me please its a large one if you don't mind grin

Nonu Sat 29-Mar-14 18:25:31

Well, well , well Ocean Tempest eh !, 33 to 1 damn good price. would not have thought of it though, there you go ! :-( :-(
England lost by 3 measly runs , so now out of World championships, not right IMO.
Norwich 3-0 Swansea , they was robbed , grin
As you might guess he is feeling blue and lacklustre. so having to have one of his real ales ,which he so enjoys
We will be having a nice curry later , perhaps that will take some of the pain away ??
Ce la vie !!!

The Town will be packed next week with all the visitors here in Liverpool for the National I like to go over and watch all the "Ladydee's" and their posh hats trying to walk through Town on their way to Aintree you do see some sight's hmm Can we do a national Sweep Pete and the winner can buy the drinks grin mines a Brandy & Coke if anyone ask's.
Football may be looking good for LFC so fingers crossed there according to "armchair manager" who lives in my house.

Tegan Sat 29-Mar-14 12:40:51

National used to be the easist race in the year to find the winner of. Alas compression of the handicap etc has made it impossible. Am looking closely at the bloodlines this year as need to fathom this new National out. Still very few horses that can stay extreme distances and there are fewer Old Vics running. Milan is the 'new' stallion, also a Saddlers Wells but may not have the stamina input. Can study horse pedigrees for hours; it even got me interested in flat racing.

Anne58 Sat 29-Mar-14 12:35:56

Have just read AP's column in the Telegraph. Must say I don't agree with some of the things has says about the GN.

Nonu agree with you, must say it is not my favourite race.

Nonu Sat 29-Mar-14 12:26:01

PHO great minds and all that !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laugh .

Nonu Sat 29-Mar-14 12:24:38

PHO do prefer jump game , but I do like the good class flat races !
TEGAN that is interesting , as you say maybe a HINT for her to come over , must be so proud of him.
Re G.N ,I heard once from some pundit that winners usually wear green/yellow , true or not I don"t know . Think it is a bit of a stick in pin job, for me anyway , mind I am not really keen on the race seems to take a lot out of the horses !

smile

Anne58 Sat 29-Mar-14 12:21:39

The National is never easy, betting wise. I sometimes think you might do just as well sticking a pin in!

Tegan Sat 29-Mar-14 11:41:13

I've heard that the boy wonder, Oisin's mother has come over from Ireland to see him ride today; a tip in itself methinks. As for the National; my brain is scrambled from trying to work out what is the most problematic race I've ever come across this year.

Anne58 Sat 29-Mar-14 11:39:24

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It is not "goodo" Nonu Especially the bloody AW stuff.

Nonu Sat 29-Mar-14 10:08:31

Well start of the flat season - goodo .
Lincolnshire handicap this afternoon , undecided if I will wager or not , decisions , decisions !
Then bit more icing on the gateaux , Aintree , Thursday , Friday & Saturday which of course culminates with The Grand National on Saturday !
So all looking good !
smile

Lona Fri 28-Mar-14 20:59:53

Ana Fri 28-Mar-14 20:46:06

Lona Fri 28-Mar-14 20:24:55

No firemen at mine. Why do you think Lisa's not on at lunchtimes anymore???
Cos she's busy climbing up and down that fireman's ladder that's why!!!!
not going to mention his helmet

Anne58 Fri 28-Mar-14 19:28:49

I did wonder what that odd looking object behind the bar was, didn't realise it was your credentials Pete, look they could do with a bit of a steam clean and pressing.

Pint of champagne in a straight glass please, hold the cherry and umbrella.
