Cleaner? that's a straggler....keep finding them under the snooker table. The brandy and the Bacardi are getting low...can't understand it smile

glammanana Tue 22-Apr-14 22:48:35

Just fancy a quick drink and a bit of a rest, the weather has been dry so will have a swing in the hammock for a short while, must be careful not to nod off though as I will still be here in the morning when the cleaner arrives.grin

Well I did say ages ago that Maurhino was the man for the job but Man Utd never listened to my expert advice grin I only wanted him there so I could and see him in action so to speak !!
As for Tranmere well what can you say ?
I'll have a large coffee this morning with a slice of cherry bakewell I made some last night and brought some over to stock up the tin oh and a small drop of Brandy in that coffee will certainly cheer it up a bit as it is 6 o'clock somewhere in the world.

Lona Tue 22-Apr-14 09:32:49

glammanana Mon 21-Apr-14 13:25:22

boheminan I'm thinking the boss has gone walkabout or trying out a new wateringhole to drown his sorrows about the poor performance of his team grin but he will bounce back again when he misses our banter & humour.Do you not find the pork scratchings a bit on the stale side I think he bought a job lot of them off the back of a van grin

Oh Pete, sweetikins, never give up!

Nonu the bugger qualified, and I suppose that's that! I personally was heard to shout "Goodness me! That's a surprise and no mistake!" Well, something anyway when young H Brooke got carted off as Tidal Bay (I think) followed a loose one over to the stand side rails!

And yes, Nonu the chaps were miffed enough to all refuse to attend a stewards enquiry!

Notice though, as after every race, they all shake hands and congratulate each other? Good sportsman like behaviour, and none of that bloody spitting!

Pete Sun 06-Apr-14 23:13:57

That's it....I give up.

Nonu Sun 06-Apr-14 19:10:33

Why ,why on God"s sweet earth was "Battle Group" even allowed to participate.
What happened could have been foretold, it was a bloody shambles IMO.
I do believe everyone was deeply unhappy !
sad

Lona Sun 06-Apr-14 17:18:24

grin

Ana Sun 06-Apr-14 17:04:27

Yeah, football's for wimps! Darts, on the other hand - now there's a game fraught with danger...

Anne58 Sun 06-Apr-14 17:00:53

"Football" ????????

Pete Sun 06-Apr-14 16:51:36

Football is good glam grin

Big match on Weds.... then darts wink

Tegan Sun 06-Apr-14 16:36:40

Having just reread what I'd written about the race over the past few months I'd said when the weights came out that it was interesting that Dr Newland and Fergal had both got runners and that I'd resolved to follow their horses this season. Thankfully I followed my own advice but also backed far too many others to make much of a profit. So happy to see the horses come back safe. I still think McCoy is far too hard on horses but Paul gave Alvarado, who's a little monkey, a peach of a ride. Now for the Scottish!

glammanana Sat 05-Apr-14 23:19:03

A really good result and thank goodness no casualties just my type of horse to be named after a wine grin so I'll have a large one please wine or a bucket as I feel much better today and really fancy a drink or three.grin
How's the Footie going Pete I haven't been keeping up with what has been going on and who scored what or missed what,is Moylsie still your Manager grin just ducking back behind the curtain in case those darts happen to come my way.

Anne58 Sat 05-Apr-14 16:44:20

A good National, all horses home safe! So very chuffed for Richard Newland, his first National entry, and a win!

I have been saying for a couple of years that if I ever won the lottery I would buy a racehorse and have Dr Newland as trainer, he only has 12 in training at any one time and I love his approach.

Pete Sat 05-Apr-14 14:22:56

Right....my 25p each way is on...Monbeg Dude. wink

Nonu Fri 04-Apr-14 09:57:11

Nonu Thu 03-Apr-14 19:20:02
