I thought that we had already reached the 1000 messages. Maybe we haven't. Anyway...for when we do, here's the new extension. I'm making it warm and cosy and there are date slices to be enjoyed. Rory has claimed his corner of the sofa. wink

Gally I hope you can remember that lovely day with some smiles, too. flowers My sister died a couple of weeks before her Ruby anniversary and my BIL was very distressed on that day, then a few days later we had a special dinner to commemorate what would have been such a happy day. It was nice to reminisce about the day, despite our sadness.

LizG Sun 01-Dec-13 10:48:13

Think about those you will be seeing very soon Gally and have a wonderful time. Soop hope you soon feel tons better, must say you do sound quite poorly but fingers crossed that it won't go on too long. flowers for everyone and some of these teacakes I picked up from our local bakery xx

ffinnochio Sun 01-Dec-13 11:34:57

Gally Bon Voyage and have sunshine filled days with your family.

Soutra Sun 01-Dec-13 12:38:51

Oh Gally - what a bitter sweet day - was it deliberately chosen for your journey to Oz or just work out that way? I find it hard to come up with the words as the happy memories must also underline the emptiness and loss. flowers Bottom linehas to be the happy years, your wonderful DC and DGC and how proud John must have been of them. Hope to make it to "the Kingdom "and meet you one day! In the meantime, have a wonderful trip, looking forward to hearing all about it and pictures!!

Soop please, please , please see Dr!! I am not Galen but it sounds at least like bronchitis and could be pneumonia. You dont want to finish up in hospital - I doubt the waiting rooms would have sofas soft long enough for us alll!
Honestly - it is so frustrating being a distance away and also such a shame I couldn't get to Edinburgh today, I bet they're having a high old time!! (not so much of the old)

Thanks for kind messages. Am returning to doctor on Tuesday. Soutra Taking anti-botics...for full-blown bronchitis. I get it from time to time. Never before have I felt this weak and wicked, Must get back to bed. Just wanted to tell you that I haven't forgotten you and that I miss the fun we share. I shall be back once this thing has been dealt with. Nauseous and sweaty at the mo'
Be kind to each other. Enjoy relaxing in the kitchen. I shall need to do a big catch-up when I return. smile flowers and an early moon xxx

kittylester Sun 01-Dec-13 13:05:50

Gally Happy Landings, like you I'm sad to have missed the Edinburgh 'do'..... maybe next time.
Just popped in to plump up your pillows Soop I remember bronchitis calls for at least three!
Bed rest and plenty of fluids for you ma gal!

Agus Sun 01-Dec-13 16:03:45

Soop. Just a wee tip. Plump up a few pillows and try to stay as upright as possible whilst you are in bed. This will help stop the mucus lying on your chest. Sincere best wishes for a very speedy recovery and it's not too long before you are back blethering nineteen to the dozen in the 'kitchen' again flowers sunshine

I've just popped in too having just about recovered from the Edinburgh "bash". Soop hope all that medication starts to kick in very soon, the kitchen is not the same without you! More flowers to put with all the others you've received.

Gally it must have been a very difficult weekend for you, many bitter-sweet memories surfacing. Enjoy your time with your family, so some flowers for you also.

ffinnochio Tue 03-Dec-13 07:31:47

Morning, soop. Really hope the extra meds. are kicking in and helping you to feel better. You have had a rotten time of it. Take care. x flowers

MiceElf Tue 03-Dec-13 08:01:44

Soop. Sending a hug for you and a stroke for Rory. I do hope the meds have begun to kick in, bronchitis is horrible, it needs to take a long walk and disappear into the loch ASAP.
