Being involved in the lovely soft responses of Gransnetters to the past, and their emotional parts in it, I am caused to reflect on 'romantic' occasions which were not so warm and pink and soft.

We might be warm at times, Daman, but we're not always pink and soft! 
This doesn't exactly fall into this category, but I do remember many years ago when with ex dh and I were going through financial difficulties, i made some lighthearted remark about having to sell my body.
It was only as the conversation continued, that I realised that he was referring to my selling it for medical research
