Mr soop handed me phone with new text from Nellie. She thanks all those who have asked after her. She has asked for the email addresses of anyone who would like to keep in touch with her. I have two addresses at the mo. Will pass others on tomorrow. Must log off right now but will be back late Fri morning.

Soop, thanks so much for telling us about Nellie! Was really concerned about her - isn't it great that she's hopeful about a new job? Tell her again that we're all rooting for her and that she'll soon be back to have a blether with us? And yes, as Bags commented, jingl does go off for a while occasionally, and it's always lovely to see her return.

Jings often goes awol and then comes back when it suits her. Why worry?

When and why did she go ? I thought she was still around last week.

Poor Nellie. Ongoing disagreements might be upsetting for some who don't pitch in but read the threads all the same. Glad she's OK.

Sorry about that for your sake, soop, but it occurred to me that nellie may have good reasons for wanting to be private which have nothing to do with gransnet.

Our Nellie is not contactable.

I tried to call Nel's cell phone [only number that I have] and was told "number not recognised". I then left a text message [as on the previous night] but she didn't respond. Perhaps her phone is out of order. I shall try again later. Have stacks of supportive messages to pass on to her.

oh dear! I agree with glassortwo I have sat quietly and read through some threads).............. (although I never knew who or what actualy started it off)! maybe the best thing is to stop reading and leave a "certain thread" and try and move back to the happier GN that it once was.

I heard from Nellie as well, MaggieP saying she wanted to meet up. I replied but then I didn't hear from her again. Hopefully she's just taking some time out and will come back.

I am sorry Nellie has left, I have only just read this thread and we were hoping to meet up again next month, so am not sure now if she will still want to but maybe Nellie is still reading these messages.
I too have a break every so often as I cannot feel the need to join in with some of the subjects discussed but something makes me return and check GN out once again! Keep smiling folks, its only a friendly gathering of people isn't it?
