Oh Pete, I was going to meet Lil, but I'm feeling a bit on the pink side - have you got any paint stripper, turps or vodka. I must get some clean clothes too.
Whose washing is that on next door's line? It looks like my size, but I don't fancy the bright red bloomers!!

Where did that ruddy moggie go? Is it the one that pinches the cheese off yer plate before you can get yer fork into it? (the cheese, not the cat!)

That feral cat must be Nell's. It lounges in the bar all day - 'cept when it's gettin' under yer feet!
It got a good dose of the paint too - What will Nel say when she finds out that she's got a pink pussy!!

Pete and gramps My Rory wouldn't venture into Lil's bar. He's much too proud and far too fussy. He's on manoeuvres on yonder rugged, wind-swept Scottish hills. Mind you, just as soon as he realises that he has to hunt and catch his own food, he'll be back for supper and a cosy sleep-over in his personal apartment.

Well, I'm back and I certainly need a large one and some advice from Lil!
My feather plume is totally limp and half my sequins got stuck on some dancers cheek!

Oh dear, Ella, it appears that plumes are in the news. Richard Burton's reminiscences, tell of a rather grand gathering, at which the Duchess of Windsor wore a plume in her hair. Apparently, the merrier she became, the more outrageous her antics and the plume finished up trailing in a guest's soup and getting up a VIP's nose. Hilarious!
And, yes, our Pete pays a good deal of attention to the well-being of all the laydees. Gramps must be a good influence after all.

I've just popped in to return gramps' mulberry coloured toilet cleaner that he left in the church last night. Unfortunately, I've cleaned the loo with a bottle of merlot

It warms my heart to hear that you're all feeling perky...who is perky by the way? I'm concerned that Nellie hasn't been in to mess tidy up the bar. Sadly, over the next few days, I won't be calling in for my usual tipple. Mr soop and I are off to sample the fine ales of the county of Rutland. Bet that the bar ladies aren't a patch on our luscious Lil... and, any old codgers Romeos propping up the bar, will pale into insignificance compared with gramps and Pete.
