Pepper's portrait has had a first light wash. Now that I've started, I'm hooked! Will tidy up the paints and let it rest 'til tomorrow. Thanks for the wee video. Muasdale looked bonnie.

Pepper portrait is calling to me ...it is such a pleasure to paint. Do wish my well-meaning father had agreed to let me go to art school. I'm sure I'd have made a splendid beatnik

number Pepper in paint is beginning to look good. Will prop up my board, and throughout the evening, I shall make mental notes of any areas of his portrait that need special attention. Getting paint to behave in a proper fashion can be frustrating. It's all too easy to reach a point when the painting "works"...and then spoil it by over-working the detail. Anyway, come what may, you shall have as close to Pepper's likeness as I can manage.
