How nice you all are! Of course, the weather has turned warm and sunny today in Manchester - we leave for France this afternoon!
Granjura - this trip is just to bring Kath back for a holiday with me - the wedding is in August. I will pm you when I get home regarding arrangements for our little outing!
We had a great family party on Saturday - one of my nephews and his wife and two little ones drove down from Glasgow, and another nephew, his wife and daughter met up with us at the house of a third nephew and we had a lavish buffet meal. I have always been close to Kath's sons - we used to take them on holiday when she was having a difficult time.
I think I have probably put on some weight - Kath does not have scales on principle and she is a very good cook.
I am just keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well with the wheelchair assistance at Manchester and Geneva airports.

Yes, it's quite summery here today. You looked very fit and slender to me, Greatnan. Glad you had such a wonderful reunion with Kath's family. By the time you read this you will be back in the Alps, so not much point in saying, 'bon voyage'! Hope the two of you have a great time together.

It's cold, windy and very grey near the North Norfolk coast. We are penalised by Easterly breezes. Just hoping by midweek to join everyone else's warm sunshine?!

Good to hear that greatnan is in the Uk. I know Styal well as I lived near there and passed it on my way to Wilmslow. I went to a lovely Antique Fair there. Is it still going? I'm wearing a ring I bought there at the moment.

All went well with the wheelchair assistance but the drive from Geneva airport to home, although only about 30 minutes, was pretty tiring as it was pitch black, raining heavily and then thick fog. My sister hasn't seen anything of the scenery yet!
It is going to take me some time to catch up on all the posts I missed - I will do it when my sister is tucked up in bed!
