Right, who knew that atherosclerotic lesions have been observed to occur naturally in baboons? Also in wild sea lions and seals, pigs, cat and dogs, sheep, cattle and horses, reptiles and rats.

Well, well!

Definitely several ships because it should be Vikingskipshuset.

Bags Sun 13-May-12 17:43:00

The Skip in Skipton is a sheep as well, or several. But the skip in the Vikingskiphuset in Oslo is a ship, or several.

Brownie points were bad things to collect.

In the Middle Ages, they thought leprosy was a venereal disease.

Myxamotosis was a venereal disease (for rabbits); that's why it killed so many.

The ship in "don't spoil the ship for a ha'aporth of tar" was a sheep, not a floaty thing on the sea.

Anagram Sun 13-May-12 16:18:23

You've been researching those Lancashire/Yorkshire names, haven't you, Bags?!

Bags Sun 13-May-12 16:16:37

"twistle" in English placenames means a boundary stream. It's from an Old English word meaning a fork or junction.
