Right, who knew that atherosclerotic lesions have been observed to occur naturally in baboons? Also in wild sea lions and seals, pigs, cat and dogs, sheep, cattle and horses, reptiles and rats.

Well, well!

Seem to remember they have a kind of spiral effect going on. And a nice colour scheme. To think that they taught us in school that birds didn't do that kind of thing, just a polite juxtaposition of orifices.
Did you know that some reptiles have 2 and a kangaroos is Y shaped?
Was riveted by Julia Bradbury and the bears last night on Planet Earth Live. She did this fascinating explanation of the fact that brown bears have 3 pairs of nipples and the topmost pair produce the richest milk. So far so good. Cute shot of 3 cubs feeding. Then they moved on to the mamma bear rejecting her yearling cubs when she starts to come into heat...
She and the the number one venerable brown bear expert on the entire planet are up close and personal to mamma and daughter bear. (mama is habituated to researchers presence) Bear Guru gropes bear. "What are you doing?" asks Julia. "Feeling her vulva to see if she is coming on heat" comes the reply...
Hasn't family viewing come a long way folks.

I thought Donald was THAT dogconfused

nelliedeane Mon 14-May-12 16:58:42

with regard to that dog heard a joke today that reminded me

daughter to mother ...''can I take the dog for a walk.
mother replies '' no dear she is in season''
daughter asks''whats in season mean''
mum says go and ask your dad.
Dad in garage working is approached by daughter who asks the same question
''what does it mean the dogs in season, why cant I take her for a walk''
Dad thinks for a minute and takes a can of petrol from the shelf, tips some on a rag and proceeds to wipe round the dogs undercarriage to hide the scent.
''there you are you can take her once around the block and no more.''
off the child sets and 20 minutes later is back with the lead, and minus the dog,
''where is the dog darling ?'' dad asks ''oh she ran out of petrol dad and another dog is pushing her home''

I read a job application once that said:

Hobbies and Interests:
I enjoy tennis and when in season play regularly at the local club.

Have just happened across the term - testiculating...behaving in a loutish manner [The expression comes from the notion that public loutish behaviour 'takes a lot of balls'.] hmm

Bags Tue 15-May-12 13:20:23
