Gobi means desert so Desert Desert. Hoi means the so the the people. Don't know about oasts and houses.

Sahara means desert too.

Gobi= desert therefore says Desert desert
Hoi = the Polloi= people therefore the Hoi polloi says the the people

Isn't an oast a kiln? Maybe an oast house is a kiln of kilns?

I thought snails rasped rather than chewed. Sharks don't have teeth; they have denticles. Nevertheless, it's worth avoiding a Great White.

Garden snails are hermaphrodites. They mate by shooting each other with long darts, reeling each other and exchanging sperm. If you are really really lucky you might see them do this at the bottom of your garden one wet morning!

Yesterday, during lunch with friends who have ducks and a drake, I was startled to see the drake "collar" the duck, pin her head to the turf, mount her, ruffle his feathers [and hers], dismount and reel in an exceedingly long willy.

Being ladylike, I didn't mention the act taking place before my very eyes, to the other diners.

soop I used to have ducks we had two large male muscovies,and two female,a very old fragile female Indian runner,and her effeminate partner Donald ,who was considerably younger than her all was well until the female muscovies got a bit flighty and got squashed on the side of a passing van.
The two males tried doing each other, and to Donalds dismay also tried to take him [just think of brace your self sidney] and Salem as well,Donald would run and flap around the garden as a decoy for salems honour and the ritual you describe would take place and I knew what you where going to write as I saw the sentence with the ducks in it they have incredibly long appendages and if they get thwarted will run around tripping over it and treading on it and dragging it on the grass until it gets what it wants and the weapon retracts ooh matron!!
