So, where do you usually start on GN

Thanx to this thread ...my day is now starting with 'Active'!!

I always go to "Watching" so that I can catch up with threads that I've been particularly interested in following. I prune the watching list every week or so to clear out older items. Then I go to "last day" and "last hour"

Go straight to active but usually don't get far, being a hands on gran I am more likely to switch the computer on for 10 mins of Jack and the Netherland Pirates to keep gd quiet while I to drink a cup of coffee. I look forward to the day when I do have time to read everything and respond to posts that interest me.

I go straight to last hour and then unanswered

"I'm on", then 'Active' then if there is time, 'Last Day'. If I pop back later I start with 'Last hour'.

I'm an active fan

Not that there is much difference between 'active' and 'last day' at the moment!

Well I've learnt something else today! I didnt realise there was an "active" button only ever used "last hour and last day" that shows I should be a bit more observant! Thanks for that tip.

Last hour, last day ...hadn't realised about 'active' or 'I'm on' ...have usually done the later via 'search' (which isn't as clear!) Thanx for kittyleester

Istart with last hour, but I realise that why I'm always coming in to something half way through and so don't have anything more to add. I will do the active thing from now on and who knows, I may one day have something interesting to say!

I always start with watched, then unanswered, last hour and last day depending on when I last looked. I only use active if I have missed more than 24 hours.

I just go on Active all the time.

Jack It's a circular arrow at the end of the link bar at the top of my screen. If you click on it after reading the last posting, it will bring any new posts up, that have happened in the minute while you were reading!

I usually start with 'last hour' to see what's firing everyone up. Then I look at 'I'm on' in case there's been a response to a comment or a thought. I'll now try 'active' and 'watching' (as advised).

Where's the refresh icon nanachrissy? And what does it do?

I always start on Active then browse Last Hour then last Day usually in that order unless I am caught by something really important,I try to pop back in after lunch to see if any drastic changes if not I try and catch up about this time whilst mr.glamma has the news on TV.
