If you can afford to rent between the sale and moving in to your next property I can recommend this as a very stress free way of doing things. We have done this for most of our moves as I think it very stressful to move out and in on the same day. We put our large items into storage for a few days or weeks and then were able to get the next place ready and could even decorate before moving in with all the clutter.
