Eurovision Song Contest

When we have talent like Adele, why do we always enter such rubbish songs and rubbish singers! I suppose really talented, successful people wouldn't want to risk being humiliated by the rest of Europe (? - since when was Isreal European?) who dislike us and would vote against just for the heck of it!! They have no taste any way!!

Turkey and Cyprus too! Not that I would worry either way but it would be tricky to exclude Syria, Jordan, Lebanon & Palestine plus all the 'stan' countries until in fact we had a whole word competition based on current competing countries..

Can't stand Englebert, even 45 years ago we used to call him Dinglebert Dumpertruck....he was oily and cringeworthy...he hasn't changed.....am grinning

And if any of those countries try coming to us for a handout when their economy goes further down the pan.......it'll be "nul Euros"!

I can't believe I watched it! EH was an embarrassment, especially when he was interviewed just before and his song was totally unmemorable. The only good thing about the whole lot is that the majority of songs were in ENGLISH as were the judges spiels [that's German - he he]. The young male compere looked liked he'd just left school and this was his first job, bless him. As for Sweden, I thought it awful! Still at least we don't have to host it next year - and neither do Greece or Spain!!!!

45 or 95 - I don't care. I thought the Grannies were great - should have won. I thought Sweden's entry was a bit odd!

But here we are still talking about it!!
Actually I think all the countries should have to sing in their own language. It would make it much more interesting - I do actually enjoy listening to the song while reading the subtitles
