Glad to hear you are home safe super . I am sure you are determined to do those exercises.
archie I have to say this sounds like something from the further shores of "new age" gimmickry. Avoiding processed food with a fancy title? I agree that avoiding such food is a great plan and that we would all be healthier if we had a 1950s approach to food - buy basic ingredients and prepare it yourself.

jeni Fri 06-Apr-12 22:04:34

Or get your soh to prepare it ? grin

Thank you all flowers

I'm sitting here in floods of tears. The reason being, I had made a keepsake photo album specially for the Wee Man's 2nd birthday [coming soon]. I posted it to my son's work address at least four weeks ago. It arrived and was left overnight in his office. I have only JUST been informed that it has been lost. It was made with LOVE. I am so sad.

supernana What a terrible thing to have happened, please try not to cry, perhaps after the Easter holidays when all the staff are back in work it may turn up.
Some one may have have seen it on the desk and will have locked it in a cupboard for safe keeping.
Sending you a few (((hugs))) in the hope it makes you feel a little better flowers

jeni Sat 07-Apr-12 12:38:35

supernan
You will feel it worse than normal because of you hip!
I presume you still have backups on your computer?

Hugs to you

Butternut Sat 07-Apr-12 12:39:28

Oh, super - I DO hope it's found!

supernana Sat 07-Apr-12 12:39:30

Annika What really p*** me off, is being led to believe [for almost 3 weeks] that the parcel was safe. I should have guessed something was wrong. Far too many times told that my son had forgotten it. angry

supernana Sat 07-Apr-12 12:40:50

jeni butter flowers

greenmossgiel Sat 07-Apr-12 13:22:22

Oh supernana, your son will feel awful! Offices are minefields of lost files, letters etc, etc. Hopefully, it'll have been put safely in a cupboard or cabinet. Maybe he could send a memo round to jog someone's memory? Try not to be too upset - like jeni said, you'll be feeling more emotional because of what you've been through this week. flowers xxx

nanachrissy Sat 07-Apr-12 13:47:44

Super that's very sad and annoying but I'm sure it will turn up . Who else would want something so personal and obviously for a child?
(((hugs)))

bagitha Sat 07-Apr-12 14:13:11

Huge hugs from me too, soop. I know how sad and angry you're feeling. It hurts more than you hip, doesn't it? sad

supernana Sat 07-Apr-12 14:19:41

supernana Sat 07-Apr-12 14:23:49

jeni Sat 07-Apr-12 14:38:49

Oh dear. She's very level headed and pragmatic though! Aren't you bagitha?sunshine

glammanana Sat 07-Apr-12 14:47:00

How sad supernana I'm sure it will turn up someone has put it "somewhere safe" I am sure you where told it was safe so as not too upset you just before you big date with the handsome surgeon. You will be more tearful than usual at the moment for sure.I bet there will be a big search for it when everyone returns after bank holiday and it will be found.flowersflowers

bagitha Sat 07-Apr-12 14:58:50

I took in the message of the sadness and the pain you were feeling, soop, not the words. I went out and shifted some wood to release some empathic anger and sadness myself. Now I'm wondering, since you can't shift wood, if you have any old crockery you no longer need and a nice stone wall to throw it at? xx

Anagram Sat 07-Apr-12 15:01:09

Failing that, beat up a cushion or a pillow, Supernan! I feel for you and hope all will be well for you soon.

jeni Sat 07-Apr-12 15:18:05

I used to throw things at DH when annoyed! Once he realised I was only likely to hit him if he dodged, he just used to stand still. My aim is dreadful.

supernana Sat 07-Apr-12 16:39:34

I lay down for an afternoon rest. Didn't close my eyes for long enough to relax. Let off steam by screaming every unsavoury swear word that I''ve picked up over 70 plus years - SILENTY - IN MY HEAD...never knew that I had such a store of disagreeable words from which to draw comfort. So, how to put matters right? Daughter-in-law's beautiful designer silk scarf....monochrome shades...just her "thing"...purchased from an ebay outlet, can be replicated. The album - contained 100 plus photos taken since we first received Wee Man's scan image, right through every visit we've made to be with him, including him opening box of a digger truck [a 2nd birthday toy]. Every photo had an inscription. So, after the hols, it will be back to the process of researching and reprinting and remounting. flowers for listening.

bagitha Sat 07-Apr-12 16:53:20

Well done, soop! And don't rely on the scatty lad at The Lady next time, perhaps! wink Our offspring can be so talented at this and that, and yet..... hmm

supernana Sat 07-Apr-12 17:02:07

bagitha I love him to bits. And yet, he can be the dippiest clever clogs on the planet...smile
