Anybody else up yet?

Ariadne I'm so sorry to hear that you're in pain. Arthritis is a scourge! I've lived with it for the best part of my life. The worst pain for me is due to scoliosis of my spine...born with it...and over the years it has thrown my pelvis out of kilter...hence hips have worn away. Princess Beatrice has had surgery to straighten her spine. As a result, she gained two inches in height. Such surgery was out of the question when I was young. Now, I'm too old. Take care of yourself.

I've had a few ops for arthritic joints, Ariadne. Two of them have worked well and I think the shoulder was set back when I shovelled snow a couple of years ago. As soop says, it's a scourge and affects so many of us that surely they could make a bigger effort to ease the effects or even prevent its occurrence.

I've had 3hips and an ankle! Hips are fine but ankle was a disaster!
Consequently I'm on crutches but the shoulders neck wrists and hands are suffering.
Oh well, the world turns as it must and tomorrow is another day.
Frankly my dears, I couldn't give a damm!

Beautiful morning here and I have no doubt the birds are singing (can't hear them, a bit deaf) We had a lovely day yesterday and the forecast is good, everyone will feel better for the warmth on their backs, I am sure.

Beautiful day here too. Taking my car for service and Mot, and if my friend has remembered, she is making lunch! However....... sometimes she forgets..

Hi folks. Guess I'm still here. Had a few days being depressed, but my gardener turned up unexpectedly and cheered me up, and I've actually started doing stuff in the garden again, after a long time feeling I couldn't manage it.

Friday is gonna be a bad day, as I have two hospital appts on the same day, , different hospitals, one at 11 and one at 3.15....will heve to go and hang around in a library, I think, as everyone I know in Oxford is working!

BUT my sister is coming tonight as it is her birthday tomorrow and we are going out, possibly with my daughter too, maybe to Waterperry. Love the little museum there and want to see it again, and my sister hasn't seen it.

That there mist is a heat haze. Well, this here mist is anyroad! Therefore, it is summer.
