bagitha Fri 13-Jan-12 19:54:31

It's tomorrow in Oz already. Has been for ages. I know because I read an article that was published on tomorrow's date already.

Hi emllyjo ignore glass, annobel and particularly jingl. They are all mad. It will be nice to have someone sensible on the site for a change!

Annobel Fri 13-Jan-12 19:30:22

Welcome Emilyjo, we may be crazy but we are also supportive, kindly, generous and beautiful. And exaggerators. grin

There I was, trying to buy Danish tapered candles from a brummy girl speaking welsh in a marks and Spencer , in zeebruge which was opposite a funfair, when-- the doorbell rang! It was the postman with a parcel and it was10.30 help. I've overslept, my hairdresser came at 10.45 the doorbell has just gone with my waitrose delivery and im all behind myself ( that's the weight gain)
[panic emoticon]
I've discovered a new way to weigh myself! Must see if it works tomorrow!

OH yes travel dreams. I had one recently involving travelling with my sis...
I guess the mammogram might have been praying on your mind.
Remind yourself it only hurts for a minute. Well two, assuming you have both.
Bit like a labour contraction. Breathe slowly and deeply and try to relax your shoulders... smile

Oldgreymare Fri 13-Jan-12 07:38:55

Thanks Carol.... it will be until a Mammogram Apt at 12noon.... I really dislike them and they hurt!!! It really ought to be a busy day as I have masses of sorting still to do!

Carol Fri 13-Jan-12 07:29:26

Good morning Ogm. That's a dream I have often - either getting to the airport or getting ready for work. I do all that hard work in my dreams and wake up tired. Hope your day is more restful x

Oldgreymare Fri 13-Jan-12 06:54:34

Good morning bagitha, how are things up there?

bagitha Fri 13-Jan-12 06:53:30

Hope you're not too disappointed with reality, OGM! Good morning!

Oldgreymare Fri 13-Jan-12 06:51:58

I've woken up in a right tizzy! Awful, realistic technicolour dreams! This time I'd booked to go on holiday, only to wake up (in the dream) with no packing done and 3 hours to get to the Airport!
Strange as I don't fly!

Carol Thu 12-Jan-12 21:59:01

I have read a book about South Africa, in which the tenants of a farm started searching for gold, first by panning a local river then mining, and they discovered vast amounts of gold - who knows, you may have the same fortune over there! It seems gold is all over the place if we only look for it.

Faye Thu 12-Jan-12 21:50:49

Annobel apparently the cottage is from Bendigo which was a booming gold mining town in Victoria in the 1800s. I am not sure when it was built, I would think around the 1920s. It would have been moved to this part of Victoria with many other cottages after the second world war when returned soldiers who were granted land to farm were looking for homes. The owners would have owned the land that the vineyards are now on and one of the previous owners would have sold the land and just kept the 20 acres that D2 and SIL's house was built on. The cottage was kept too and was lived in just a couple of years ago, but it desperately needed repairing.

Interesting that the cottage comes from an area that had gold because the land that ex and I owned together was near an old gold mine in the Adelaide Hills. We had huge boulders of quartz, some of it was underground, we often found pieces of crystal. There was an old gold mine just over the hill and I often wondered if there was gold on our land that might have ended up in our creek over the years. There is still a gold mine in operation nearby. I seem to have gold around me, I have had two amazing dreams about gold, one had gold bullion bars stacked on top of each other. Now that would be nice wouldn't it! smile

Glad you are feeling Ok libradi - i am good, thanks and likewise had a better night.

Annobel Thu 12-Jan-12 09:04:28

Faye. That sounds like an ambitious but very worthwhile project. Was the miner in question mining gold? Is it on your property?

Libradi Thu 12-Jan-12 08:30:48

Hi JessM I'm fine thanks, better night's sleep anyway smile How are you today?
Faye you sound like you are going to be very busy!
