If under 16s are considered too young for sex , at what age are you considered too old ?

bunic Wed 10-Aug-11 12:00:56

Welcome fatfairy, what can i say had a lull myself at 61 lost my sex drive ,thanks to my loverly partner at 64 i am back on track if you know what i mean!! don`t give up.

fatfairy Wed 10-Aug-11 20:24:34

So there is hope! thank goodness for that. What was the magic ingredient, do you think?

bunic Wed 10-Aug-11 20:45:01

Is there one ?

JessM Wed 10-Aug-11 21:02:29

did anyone else hear the sociologist talking about teenagers using mobile phones as part of their sex lives. I had heard something of this before from school staff who tell kids not to send their friends pictures of them having sex!!! I thought this was maybe a local phenomenon but NO!
Apparently it is quite normal part of teenage flirtation to send each other provocative photos of themselves. Some of the boys apparently said that you should not include your face in the shots. !!!!!
Now there is something for the over 50s to think about...

Elegran Wed 10-Aug-11 21:57:11

Not including face in shot - reminds me of old joke which I shall put on joke thread not here. I daresay you all remember it.

nanachrissy I like your idea very much...and to not have to listen to an OG grumbling, as men do!!!! wink smile

Joan Thu 11-Aug-11 05:54:48

Just thinking about 'the sex talk' that parents are supposed to give their kids. When I was a young lass, the only thing Mum told me was a hundred different versions of 'thou shalt not'.

When my sons reached that dangerous age, my only talk to them was various versions of 'Don't trust the pill, always use a condom'

How times have changed.

For the better.

bunic Thu 11-Aug-11 10:03:06

JessM,i use gransnet instead.Faye please explain "as men do!!!!" to a man ?.

susiecb Thu 11-Aug-11 10:29:10

I quite fancy a last naughty fling before the grave. Got to thinking yesterday how nice it would be to have some excitement - are you shocked?

nanny1 Thu 11-Aug-11 10:52:29

No I'm not shocked :-) you go for it girl!

nanny1 Thu 11-Aug-11 10:56:49

Hi fatfairy, this is an interesting quote from Marlene Dietrich:

"A man would prefer to come home to an unmade bed and a happy woman than to a neatly made bed and an angry woman."

wink

susiecb Thu 11-Aug-11 11:38:49

Thats good if I find an unfortunate victim of my feral lust I can say Nanny said 'go for it'smile

ginny3 Thu 11-Aug-11 16:34:52

just sat reading this thread grin really made me laugh dont think your ever too old for sex just lucky if your getting anyenvy

acanthus Thu 11-Aug-11 17:08:44

If more people (of whatever age) realised that it's OK not to be sexually active there would be a lot less angst in the world! The OH and I have a loving relationship, but after 43 years, there's more to life than all that thrashing about and worrying about lubricants and whether he can or he can't..... It's a biological function - enjoyable, but why bother to keep at it? Humans are programmed to copulate in order to procreate. When we are past it - forget it!

glammanana Thu 11-Aug-11 17:24:00

I don't care who is programmed to do what and when,I've been married for nearly 40yrs and have no intention of giving up our siesta's and long week-end lie ins.
Go for it susiecb

numberplease Thu 11-Aug-11 17:41:21

Why do I keep gravitating to this thread?

acanthus Thu 11-Aug-11 17:58:55

Post-menopausal sex = increased risk of prostate cancer and various STDs (Fact) - come on peeps - give your nether regions a rest!

glammanana Thu 11-Aug-11 18:02:12

hey number, see you having a little spy as well as me it brightens up the afternoon don't you agree ?

nanajub Thu 11-Aug-11 18:11:59

janreb Thu 11-Aug-11 18:28:44

crimson Thu 11-Aug-11 19:06:27

...can only agree with acanthus.....good book and a cup of tea, moi.....

nanachrissy Thu 11-Aug-11 19:23:00

I think we should all do whatever we like at our time of life! Usually we ladies(I use the term very loosely!) have looked after people most of our lives and put ourselves second, so now go for it whatever IT maybe!
Sometimes I feel like a wild session (Haha, it doesn't last long!) and sometimes it's the baggy nighty and a cup of cocoa. grin

greenmossgiel Thu 11-Aug-11 19:25:42

DH says that the 'medicine' that they gave him when he did in his National Service days has at last started to work....I've not seen any difference, though! grinblush

crimson Thu 11-Aug-11 19:35:02

...bromide?

artygran Thu 11-Aug-11 19:36:33

It's nice to be able to still 'get it on' occasionally after 45 years... makes us both feel a bit special. There are times when it doesn't work out, but that's ok too.
