Boots points system

I think it’s one of the best points schemes going. I’m signed up for the over-60s bonus and points seem to accumulate really quickly, even though I only tend to buy at Boots when they have a good deal on.

Boots Advantage Card and the Over 60s Rewards can be even more advantageous if you buy something expensive like glasses or a hearing aid. They also do vacuum cleaners, electrical appliances etc. etc. and even 'experiences' so you can actually spend a lot of money there and not just toiletries.

You can also get a discount on Boots brand goods with an Advantage card. Remember to sign up to the over 60s rewards too.

Had a Boots card years ago, but let it go, because I just got everything I wanted in my Supermarket. Then I was approached to take one up again and I make a point of buying all my toiletries, etc in there. I can then buy sanitary products for the local food bank with my points, so it’s a win win.

I agree. I much prefer the Boots points system to those in other stores. I buy everything I can in there because of this. My nearest branch isn’t one of the very big ones so sometimes I order things on line and collect them there. The points seem to mount up very quickly and I’ve just used them to buy something for my DIL’s birthday next week. Sometimes I save them for Christmas. They also have vouchers from time to time which you can use to build up extra points. You just need to remember that the scheme doesn’t operate in the same way as in other stores. Then again why should it?

You can only use your points for an entire item only

If you have £10 of points you can use them up to the value of £10 you cannot pay the extra if the item is £10.01 or over.

I have had a Boots card for many many years, in my opinion it’s one of the best.

I save up my points and treat myself on by birthday each year.

I believe you have to purchase with either all points or all cash, not part cash or points. Which is annoying.
