OK so who has Snow, and where are you?

I live just a few miles from Manchester airport and can confirm it was a very light dusting which has now mostly thawed

As described - south Manchester 2 miles from city center.

The perfect snow is:
1/ Friday - snowfall overnight
2/ Saturday - wake up to heavy snow. The children can build a snowman and go sledging. ⛄
3/ Sunday - snowmen still there when they wake up. Another day of fun in the snow.🎿
4/ Monday - temperature rise overnight. Snow completely gone so everyone can go to work and there's no slush on the roads! 🚗

Chestnut

No snow in West Kent, but -2 degrees and thick frost all day. Brrrr

No snow but sheet ice on our street in the west of Scotland. So we’re not going anywhere! The gritter has cleared the main road but you could do a Torvil and Dean impersonation outside our house.

None as yet in West Yorkshire, Huddersfield way. Happy to get a light dusting for effect, but nothing more!

No snow in my part of Northamptonshire but thick frost has persisted all day.

There's been plenty here for a couple of days in the North East (Aberdeen to Inverness area, not Newcastle!) but the roads have been cleared. Think it's melting a bit today, so I hope it doesn't freeze overnight. ☃️

AreWeThereYet and Chestnut There is no such thing as perfect snow . Allowable would be I hours worth , take a picture and then it melts away.

Was snowing early in Manchester today. Our family from Australia will be with us from tommorow. The 2 youngest are excited as they haven't seen it before. Hope it doesn't thaw too much!

Non in my bit of Oxfordshire. Much too cold to snow I'd say.
I'm going to a Silver band and Carol Concert this evening, but not looking forward to going out in the cold.

Oh don't be a spoilsport! The children would love my little scenario and it's only for two days at the weekend.

The only thing that could be better is for it to snow heavily Christmas Eve all morning and then to melt completely away Boxing Night. 😁

As long as we're cosy inside, have lots of provisions in and we don't have to go out I don't mind if it snows.

Yup that’s how it is here, a few snowflakes land and the country seizes up.

No snow in Boston Lincs as yet, hopefully there won`t be any.

I am very near the airport and it was only a dusting early this morning. Not proper snow by any means. No more so far today

i should add that we have had thick frost for about 3 days prior to the snow

It's not the snow that's the problem though, is it? It's the ice.

I once drove off to work on a chilly, frosty morning in the dark and ended up in a ditch because I couldn't see the black ice.

We are on the south coast. No snow but thick frost and bitterly cold. We won’t go out unless it’s essential and definitely not at night. Dangerous conditions I think.

Absolutely freezing here all day today - just outside Edinburgh, and we had some snow. It was so cold that my daft dog actually broke some ice to go swimming in the burn. Temperature in the house is 12 degrees.

Fair amount in Midlothian. Had to take DH to Edinburgh for his Christmas lunch and the side streets were worse than Midlothian which is unusual. Then took DD2 and DGS2 to an estate in East Lothian to see a light show and meet Santa. Was a bit nervous as lots of flurries and B roads I don't know but got there and back safely. DGS2 had a wonderful time jumping in all the muddy puddles in the farmyard! We are all now covered in spots of mud but he is happy!!!

Believe it or not, we had some nearby a couple of days back- in Australia! Unheard of in Summer. Global cooling strikes again.

No snow here on the Devon coast, but they made a really good job of faking it where I went yesterday early evening!
