I have been a member for a long time and this is the first time I need to ask for your good advice, Shocked today when the cap on one of my front teeth came off. I am well over the most vulnerable age for Covid 19 but ok in health and have been self isolating since the beginning. I don't know whether I should see a dentist and wonder if there's likely to be a cap's base left in the gum ? Wish I could add a smiley but there isn't one to for me now lol
I had this very same problem last year, root still in situ. Rang my dentist, if not in pain they wouldn’t see me. On a few more months, lost another lateral crown. In despair rang the dentist and as it was beginning to affect my mental health they saw me. On attending the surgery, was very impressed with covid precautions, attended a few times, and all ok, but saw broken teeth are an emergency, especially with root still there as site for infection. Please ring your dentist, they are now seeing patients again, you deserve to get this sorted. Must admit one was pleased that masks had to be worn outside!!!
