This happened first about 3 weeks ago and I thought it was because I had handled a Satsuma. It wouldn't wash off but disappeared over 24 hours. Then I woke up this morning to find dark iodine coloured stains down my index finger and light orange blotches on both palms and on the back of my thumb. I have googled this and nobody seems to know what it is so I am wondering if anyone on gn has come across this?

Well, i don't each much so us both matching on tomatoes is a pretty big sign to me imo. That's like the one crossover I've had w members on here, everyone says red veggies but i only eat tomatoes

Hi Rmbishop I would guess the hypothyroidism affected by the intake of carotene in the carrots, peppers and sweet potatoes was the cause but none of us know for sure. It’s not always in the exact spot or as deeply coloured and you never really know when it will reappear.

This thread is reassuring to know you are not the only one to have these mysterious ‘stains’ which seem to disappear after a few days.

Hello! I am new as well, woke up a couple days ago with a orange spot on my right pinky knuckle and a few faded spots on top of hand. I thought at first I put my hand in something. Then realized it wasn't washing off. Since Thanksgiving was a few days I did eat raw carrots, sweet bell peppers, sweet potatoes and other fresh/cooked veggies. I'm also type 2 diabetic, have low iron and currently on my monthly cycle.. i also suspect hypothyroidism....so there's a lot I could blame it on.

I wanted also to dig dive more on other aspects One of us mentionned It: the spiritual side, are you spiritual people? Did you notice anything particular recently? Signs, recurrent numbers?

The cause of these stains have surely a medicali explanation but let s try to find out also other patterns between us.

You're all aliens!!
Or, you've been aboard their UFOs!
I'm absolutely sure of it now!

If it helps at all I'm x3 vaxxed and had this happen before ever getting the shot. Also, the day before mine showed up I took a OTC pill for tummy issues. Had red dye #30 and #25. I took it again and ended up with smaller spots. From reviewing other places on the internet my only other guess is stink bug secretions. But it's not stink bug time? Or against the red veggies/fruits 🤔 Mine is like a stain, it can be washed off but it takes so long and I can barely get anything off. Honestly surprised this is still so active 😂💞

I first experienced this before covid Vax Farmgran.

farmgran Sun 20-Nov-22 11:30:57

I wonder if its anything to do with the Covid vaccine. Have you orange handed people had a booster lately?

Krisalide Sun 20-Nov-22 09:04:18

Just to add, i take medications that can be hard for the liver since years and had stress recently, some of you checked their livers to see if can be related? Thanks

Krisalide Sun 20-Nov-22 09:00:47

Hi everyone!

I experienced the same, woke up in the morning with stains in my right and left hand very similar to the ones you posted. Before this happened i washed my hairs with a caffeine shampoo and used an oil for my hair, i cooked an apricot jam cake that was Little burned and eated it and before a tomato sauce pasta, i did 2 showers washing 2 times my hairs, i smoked tabacco like usual, can t explain the reason. I read almost all your post but what could be the common pattern? I thought was nicotine related but It doesn t seem so... To sum up which are the common pattern a? Hugs from Europe!

Who knows hey! Ive also had my gallbladder removed.

I suppose whatever goes on in our bodies could be caused by one thing which has several triggers, such as eating certain foods, stress, possibly vaccines in your case or a combination. The liver has bile which is yellow so I wonder if an upset liver is another factor.

So many of us have experienced this and don’t seem to have anything dreadfully wrong. Just we’d like an answer from the medics but they don’t seem to know either.

Ahh! Another Orange Hand-er here.

I First read this thread back in August when i had Covid. (Which was the first time I had the orange stains pop up!)

They mostly disappeared after a week or so..But have had them back the last 2 days.

I tend to agree with some comments here that its something internal. I have had blood tests at the time..Which came back with abnormal liver function but the doctor put that down to Covid. I had a second blood test a week or so later which was then back to normal.

Ever since covid ive had this sort of weird feeling around my liver aswell, which i feel is related. (As it feels to be flaring up a bit at the moment. I also had Ultrasounds for this and nothing was out of the usual!

Its amazing so many people here have the same issue - but no one has an answer.

I'll start w I have a very limited diet, it is not the red peppers for me, I hate salads. My diet is basically: cheezits, ensure drinks, Choco granola bars, and Kraft Mac n cheese (with ketchup!). I went to bed w both socks on, woke up w one off and that foot looking like it's covered in "blood". The foot w the sock doesn't have anything, but it looks like the sock absorbed it. I have it happen on my hands, this is the first of my feet and made me come looking. At first i thought it was nosebleeds in the night since it was my hands, then it didn't really taste like blood, a bit funky smelling actually, so then I assumed it was from me somehow spilling bong water onto my hands before sleeping. But with it on my foot? No way.

Blissy Thu 20-Oct-22 16:21:54

Same thing for me...has happened before a few times, but this was the most staining showing up overnight. It normally fades away after a few days but l'm finally learning here what it might be causing this.

25Avalon Mon 10-Oct-22 19:41:51

Thanks Kdmj. Sounds like peppers in your case. Strange though you can eat these things fine one day and the next orange stains. Let us know how you get on.

Kdmj Mon 10-Oct-22 19:33:27

I came here with the same mysterious marks on my hands and soles of my feet. I went to bed without marks and woke up with them on my dominant hand and both of my feet. I didn’t do gardening and I didn’t dye my hair or anything.

I had peppers
I had pizza
I didn’t use baby wipes
I wasn’t near stink bugs
I saw someone else had this after making a hello fresh, and I want to add that I also made a hello fresh dinner with peppers and then saw the marks the next day.

I’m trying to get into the doctor to see if I can get blood work done. If I do, I will update you all.

Add a new member to the group, lol. I have woken up several times to these strange brown/orange spots. Today I finally decided to dig a little deeper and found this groups posts. I haven't eaten anything that was listed. I showered before bed last night. I'm boggled as to why this would occur from the explanations that have been given. It's always when I wake up in the morning. I'm thinking aliens or a curse as well. Lmao!

Morris76 Tue 30-Aug-22 11:24:50

Hi guys I have woken with this again this morning. I'm in the UK but I have discovered what causes mine, believe it or not its raw onion !!!
I buy a bag of chopped brown onion as I'm the only person who eats onion in my house. I will still use it past its best before date if it looks and smells OK. Everytime I use it past its best before date I wake up the next morning with my hands looking like this.
I don't know why this happens maybe something added to it to keep it fresher for longer maybe ?
I to suffered for years with this, not being able to pin point what was causing it, I even spoke to a pharmacist who had no clue. Searched the Internet and found nothing.
One day I thought its covering my hands exactly where my hands went in the packet of onion, next time I used them again I remembered and yes the next morning my hands were stained again.
Hope this may help some of you cause it baffled me for years. Best wishes my fellow stained hands gang x
P.s the picture was took after a good scrubbing cause it was really bad this morning x

Mcuss that’s it. So many of us. You’d think medical science could come up with the answer. Still it seems to go in a few days and no other I’ll effects reported by anyone.

Mcuss Tue 23-Aug-22 11:57:53

Hello Everyone,
Same thing, didn't do anything different, ate mostly meat, no veggies, and I woke up with theses :

25Avalon Mon 15-Aug-22 17:26:32

I think it’s internal not some thing external. It comes out on hands or feet possibly in sweat. Could be what we eat, could be stress, could be how our body processes food or a mixture of all 3.

Weirdhands Mon 15-Aug-22 14:10:04

Thanks GrannyB. So strange!
