What are you called?

I can understand maybe Nanny Flickety but not Nanna. At the end of the day it is personal choice and Nanna was mine.

I am Grannie, no discussion held, I wanted to be Grannie. I am also called McGonagall !

Grandma and Grandpa. As there are two Grandmas we are Grandma Flickety and Grandma Ann. There is only one living Grandpa, so he has no identifier, although there are references in DGC's lives to Grandpa Jack, whom they know died when mummy was only a little girl.

My children always differentiated their two grandmothers by calling one grandma and the other grannima.

I have to confess to an aversion to any version of Nanna in my family because of it association with goats.

I am Nanna and DH is Grandy.

I am Granny - my English friends think that's old fashioned,and makes me sound old ( I an 53), but being a Scot, that's what Grannies are called ! The English granny to DGD is Nanny, so avoids confusion, but both DH are Grandad

In fact I am actually Ganny, as 2 yr old DGD cant say gr yet

We are Grandma and Grandad and the other set are Nanny and Grampy. My Mum is Nanny in our family!!

I am Granny - sometimes Gran, and DH is Grandad. Our own DS and DD call us both by our given names which is fine although my rather prim and proper eldest sister thinks it very disrespectful and does NOT approve!

I'm grandma, my DDs decision after much discussion. I did not want to be Gran (MIL!) or Granny or nanny and I would have been quite happy to be called by my given name (my sister is, her grandchildren's choice!!), but no, grandma it is and I quite like it now. DH is grandpa, occasionally grumpy grandpa! It might help if you knew what the other grandmother has chosen and go from there!

I am Grandma and the other is Granny. I would have liked to be Grandmama but it was a bit much for little ones to say

I am Gran as was my mother and grandmother, other is Granma (without the D) and both OHs are Grandad.

My two youngest GSs, have a such a plethora of Grans that it's amazing that they don't get completely confused. I am Granny A..; maternal grandmother i is Granny E...; Mother's stepmother is Granny M...; Great grandmother is just Granny.

Is there another Grandma and what does she like to be called?

I am Nanan until such time as DGS thinks differently. T'other Gran is Grandma already and has kept that.

I am just Gally, G for Granny and -ally from my name. Perhaps in the fullness of time and as they grow up, I may become Granny as my Mum was to my girls. I had a Grandma and, briefly, a Nana. The world is your oyster Squaredog (4 of my gcs are in Oz too)

Once he could talk, my eldest grandson decided I was Grana, so that's what I am called.

My mother (wouldn't you know) thought "nannie" was very down market, and preferred to be Grandmother - and the capital G is significant. It was about the only thing she and my MiL agreed upon.

Me? I am Nannie / Nanniejill, and delighted with it. They love me, I love them. They can call me whatever they like.

Mine have all called me nanna and OH is called Grandy,in the past 2/3 yrs my eldest 3 DGSs have started calling me "nana down there" as they are all over 6ft tall.

I started out as nanna, at my request. But DGS is now 4 and calls me nannie. Other is nannie E*** 2 grandads. My mum was grannie.

I prefer nanna.

I am Granny which I like because the other grandmothers chose Grandma, which I'm not keen on. My mother started off as Great Grandma but our eldest grandson shortened it to GG which everyone loves.

I'm Nanny Og (my kids all Terry Pratchett fans and I quite like her character) and he's Granddad Grumps (because he pretends to be grumbly and growls)

Both DDs chose to ask their children to call me Nanny, in one family followed by my first name to distinguish from the other Nanny. As they are getting older it is often shortened to Nan, which I actually prefer. When they were toddlers they sometimes used my first name only, as they heard other people using it, which I didn't mind at all, it was not disrespectful.
DDs decided to call their GMs Nanny Cat and Nanny Pig, as they had those animals.

Grandma by my daughter's children, Nanny (or Nan) by my son's. Their choice, I'm happy to be called whatever they want. Grandad is "Grandad" to them all.

Nothing more original than Granny though my senior GD and her half brother at one time referred to me as Golden Eagle - they'd heard me referring to elderly relatives as Golden Oldies and kindly decided that I wasn't an oldie! How things change...!

Nana when they are little, Nan when they reach their teens, and now Nanny Noo to my great-grand-daughters. My grandchildren's partners use my first name.

Su nanna sounds good to me, not very original , I think children often come up with their own original names for people..
My grandkids usually call me Nanny till they become teens then for some reason I become Grandma said with gravitas hahaha
