Hospital gown with envelope neck

hate those hospital gowns they are so undignified the old ones. if you go to an outpatient clinic they give you one of those and one of the awful heavy cotton striped dressing gowns which have lots of pulled threads. i should imagine if someone is rushed into hospital and given one of those awful gowns it cant help them when they are recovering must make them feel awful

That is good news. My DH just spent 11 days in hospital, with IV in both arms, and the wired patient monitors with all the leads on his abdomen and chest.

The style of gown open at the back, and with a tie at the waist wouldn't do up because of all the leads, so he was partially exposed once he was up and able to walk in the ward.

I had a look at some of the links, and they look functional and more modest.

It was a bit like that, NotSpaghetti, but less bulky, I would say. I wish now I'd asked about it or taken a photograph but after a total hip replacement op I wasn't really feeling up to it! Thanks for looking.

The NHS should start buying Swedish hospital gowns.

For the past 30+ years the Swedish hospital gown has been a loose night shirt, in cotton jersey, with buttons down the front. So much more comfortable than the NHS gown.

Often the strings are missing too.

The new design sounds much better.

Sounds like the sort of crossover neck old "new baby" nightwear had.
There must be patterns out there somewhere. How interesting.
