The Family Sex Show, which featured naked actors, was described as “an alternative to porn”, with the organisers receiving nearly £20,000 from Arts Council England.
The tour of the show has now been cancelled after more than 38,000 people signed a petition calling for the performance to be scrapped
The production, created by the theatre company ThisEgg, was due to start touring in Bath on April 28, with dates at the Tobacco Factory Theatre, Bristol, and the Norfolk and Norwich Festival included.

A lot of these theatres have famous patrons (usually older people) who support them.
I think these famous patrons should let their views be known. I'm sure a lot of them have grandchildren. The theatres would soon distance themselves from this disturbing production if they thought they would lose their famous patrons.
Who wants their good name associated. wth a place that has no regard for child safeguarding and has dubious connotations similar to the the Jimmy Saville fiasco.
Apparently Camilla is a patron of Bath Royal Theatre.
I think they are one of the yesterday still going ahead with a 'private showing' of the production.

Removing work that celebrates freedom of expression from stages cannot be the answer

I got a message about that update today, SnowberryZ, which was good news, but I was amazed that there was no contrition from @thisegg at all on their Twitter feed. Two of their posts:
