...at the bottom of each thread there are adverts for nappies, baby seats, parenting tricks, maternity bras and maternity pillows amongst others? I realise they may interest some Grans or even Grandads, but they really irritate me and there seems no way to delete them

When I first joined Gransnet I had the icons in Chinese on my phone for months until I visited the UK and then they changed. When I returned home to Germany they remained the proper ones. The Chinese characters are probably because it's a Chinese (or Korean) make.

I don't get any adverts for nappies or anything like that on my phone, tablet or laptop. Just for things I buy anyway.

They are not adverts. They are links to articles on Mumsnet. Should be replaced by GN links!
