Rotten weather again! You were lucky with your walk yesterday Celebgran you should have given Rosie a tug to get her out for a nice walk with you. Well done on downloading the pic but fancy commenting

I have lots of pics of my GC, two in frames on my coffee table with me with each of them, one of the two of them on my bookcase by my bed and two as screen savers on my mobile; first one of the two of them and the inside one of Laila brushing her teeth and waving, so cute! and then one of Laila on my PC as the sreen saver, but strangly the one on my PC keeps popping on and off, which I like as its as if its her popping on to say 'hello'. But like you Smileless I'm not sure if I should put them away, if they are making me feel worse, but when I think about putting them away, I can't do it as I feel like I'm packing them away and I don't want to do that. Can't stand the fact that I'm never going to see them again, I say to myself move on, but I can't

Well Dollie as long as we can wear you out chatting about our gallavanting, don't worry about not being able to do as much as you would like. I hope your window cleaner turned up today. I hate dirty windows, especially on a sunny day.
My mum is having an operation tomorrow afternoon. They say they may have to do a shoulder replacement 
; I can't believe she's done so much damage falling down a few stairs. Just hope she'll be OK.
Feel like an old lady today. My legs are aching and I can't get them comfortable. I don't think it's the exercising; it might be because I'm tense about mum. I'm having some to see if that helps; well any excuse really.

Sorry Smileless a 'round robin' is one if those emails that people send with poems, jokes, whatever and ask you to pass them on to as many friends as you can. One or two I don't mind, but this particular friend used to send me one a day, sometimes more than one! ..... I love her dearly all the same.

I know what you mean about looking at photo's, we don't have loads of our gs as we didn't see that much of him, and those we do have are on my laptop, and bec. I find it so upsetting to look at them, dear hubby put them in to their own file so I don't access them by mistake It's not easy being a technophobe you know .

I don't know how your d can hurt you so, or how any of our children can be so cruel. That's what makes it so awful and difficult to deal with and why we all spend so much time looking for answers that we'll never find. Be strong dear Celebgran, you're doing well; we all are.

Do hope your ,mum recovers ok take heart my friend mummis 91 and broke her knee and femur last October. She is. Ow having physio hoping to walk again ! Is a worry you could do without big hugs!
I been bit low today made acquacise and did my reg client went well but had to put photo of grandchildren away it is distressing that is all I will see of them
Got my next heart scan thursday the one where I get the radioactive injection!
Sadly got go on yo own next tuesday as husband been let down with cover. First one supposed to be worst.
I am now stuck in a low of how on earth could our daughter hurt us so much.
Got to accept it haven't i?

I'm so glad that some of you have found something in the poem. It was LibraChick's very wise quote that reminded me of it. It came to me a few years ago in one of those 'round robin' emails that often make your heart sink - from a very dear friend who will persist in sending all sorts of stuff, but I have to say this time she struck gold. It's a poem that has brought me much comfort in different circumstances over the years and I think is a good reminder that however much we love our children, and however much we try to be all things to all people, in the end we need to remember that we are important too, and we have a right to seek happiness - or just peace. to you all
I've done it at last, finished painting today . Got immense pleasure getting all the paint trays, brushes and empty tins of paint and throwing them all in the skip. Couldn't be bothered to clean them all and any way there so cheap to buy, why bother; or am I just lazy 
. That was a rhetorical question ladies, so no need to answer just in case you do think I'm lazy.
Read your poem out to my hubby Nightowl and he loved it so much he's going to print it out.

Bugger!! bro has just 'phoned and mum needs to have surgery. They're hoping to be able to do it Thurs. or Fri. but she could have to wait 14 days and they want her in hospital until it's done. My poor mum .

Smileless sorry to hear about your dear Mum, hope she is on the mend, with your help no doubt. Just read further, bad triple brake, my S had that when he was about 14yrs, same as your mum they couldn't put it in plaster and was going to operate, but in the end didn't, all fine now, so good luck to your mum and for her, pinch a few for yourself, its a big bunch, she'll never know 
Dollie the bit about the empathy is a fact, but it is also a fact that drug taking before its developed will greatly effect or even stop the forming of it!
So my D and nasty s.i.l have no hope!! but I live in hope for my D as she did stop before she was 20.
Oh Celebgran what a shame you didn't download the lovely picture of Molly and your other GC, my ND immediately downloads anything she happens upon, and we have a few recent photos of our previous Laila and Jack that way, so next time be quick! Glad you had a good day after with your family and lovely to hear you are feeling better and stronger

Afternoon ladies. Thank you for asking after my mum, unfortunately the news isn't very good . She has broken her arm in 3 places so they are now considering surgery to put in place pins and plates. They can't put her arm in plaster as the damage is too close to her shoulder. If they don't operate they say she'll have restricted movement, but can't guarantee this wont be the case even if they do operate. She's nearly 76 and not in good mental health so we're hoping that they decide not too.
I'm so glad you decided to 'pop on' with that lovely poem Nightowl. Isn't it strange how some people can articulate how others feel when they find it so hard to articulate those feelings themselves. I know I shall read it again and again; for you.
I so agree with you Dollie and Librchick, it takes great strength and courage to walk away from some one that you love, especially your own child. It doesn't mean you love them any the less, or have stopped loving them all together. I think it can demonstrate how much you do love them; such is the love that you feel that you simply can't take anymore of the pain they cause.
How awful for you Celebgran, that must have come as a especially seeing photo's of gc you've never actually seen before. I feel exactly the same; a plethora of photo's on face book of my gs to so called 'friends' when his grandparents, great gmother and great uncle don't even know what he looks like now!!!
Saw a brilliant door mate a few months ago which I should have bought and left on their door step "Friends always welcome, relatives by appointment only". He'd have had one hell of a job trying to push that back through our letter box wouldn't he .
