Washing machine

Am I being unreasonable to think that being a month without a washing machine is too much.?
My machine broke down three weeks ago. John lewis eventually contacted a repair firm who took two weeks to come out, said the mother board was gone and would have to order a new one! Today they've just rung to say that the part hasn't arrived and they haven't another appointment til next Friday! This was an expensive tumbler drier less than two years old!

They only offered me the sameLG or a hot point. So long as it washes, dries and takes my double duvet and its motherboard doesn't go bang! I don't care.

Actually the Miele is a smaller load and is B in the energy rating. This is A

anno I have laundered money. DH used to leave tenners in his shorts pocket after he had been playing badminton. I know I should have checked them but the notes came out lovely and clean and after a quick iron they were like new. Paper money is stronger than it looks.
