Not as good as Paul OGrady, but not far off.
The ratings will benefit no end.
I don’t know what they were thinking of with Robinson.
She gets a lot of high profile interviews I suppose.

Good news indeed. He was my first choice. Witty, but not sarcastic and he’s clever enough to play the game and not just host it.

Great news. I like Colin Murray.

Sorry , but I found him a bit OTT , but anyone will be better than the present incumbent

I've never heard of him either Callistemon. Mind you I don't watch Countdown.

We are really glad Colin Murray will be back, he was excellent last time he hosted. Apparently it’s on a “temporary “ basis, but hopefully that will become permanent.

I have never heard of him but now I know that Anne Robinson has left for good I may return. I watched it for years but she put me off.

No idea who he is, but he must be an improvement on Anne Robinson.

Whose Colin Murray ?

I had to Google him, Bluebelle but I've forgotten who he is already because I try to discard uninteresting information these days ?.

Have seen from TV listings that Colin Murray is starting from Thursday this week. Am so relieved to see the back of Anne Robinson who has belittled several contestants, ridiculed their hair or clothes and generally asked ridiculous questions! There must have been several complaints to Channel 4.

I’d never heard of him either but he was a guest in Dictionary Corner when a friend and I went to watch the show a few years ago. He was amusing enough and did quite well on the words and numbers as I recall.

Didn’t think this was Anne Robinson’s best presenting stint although I rather liked her in Weakest Link where participants knew they’d be given a hard time for the most innocuous things?

Have just read on line in one of the newspapers, that Colin Murray is finishing Countdown in August and Les Dennis is taking over as the permanent host.

Have just re read the article. It now sounds like Les Dennis will just be for August. I hope so.

joannapiano- I read yesterday about Les Dennis taking over after Colin Murray finishes. He will be permanent. I really like Colin Murray but will wait and see how Leslie Dennis gets on.

Watching this afternoon, Les Dennis is only in the presenter’s chair as Colin Murray had COVID.
