Netflix problem

I have a problem with the search on Netflix I tried to get Testament of Youth on it as I was certain I'd seen that it was on there, but when I searched I got a list of exerything except what I was looking for. My friend has the same problem and asked me to help but her Netflix is on her TV and mine is on the iPad. So I didn't know what to suggest.
Example- I looked for Shakespeare and up popped Sherlock!
Got to be better than that, surely?
Am still pretty new to Netflix, maybe I'm missing something.
Have enjoyed the Crown and Gandhi is brilliant.

I'm enjoying The Crown at the moment. I'm new to Netflix too. I didn't realise you could do a general search, eg for Shakespeare. I thought you had to just trawl through their genre listings. Surely they have a relatively limited selection that gets updated all the time? Or do they have a bigger archive or have I completely got the wrong end of the stick?

My husband has been raving on about something called MUBI which he says has all sorts of classic films plus international ones. I've only glanced over his shoulder but that does look to be the case.

Just checked and it's not on Netflix or Amazon - which is confusing me because I watched it not so long ago. So maybe it was on a TV channel

Testament of Youth was on TV and I recorded it so you can get it on the BBC i Player.
I called Netflix and asked about a series I wanted to watch and they were great.
They emailed me a form to request the series to be shown and they will email if it does.
In the meantime I do a general search every now and then as it could go on Amazon Prime, Now TV, Netflix or any tv channel.
I subscribe to Netfix and share with my daughter and my d-i-l and granddaughter! My daughter shares her Now TV subscription with me.
It's all a lot cheaper than the cinema, more convenient and definitely a more comfortable experience so well worth it.
So grateful I can use the technology if with a little guidance!

Testament of youth was removed from Netflix on 16th February 2017. Sorry but it seems we've missed it. It was apparently available for 15 months before this.

Thanks! I was sure I had seen it on there. Didn't think that Netflix would remove it. Thought it would just stay there and I could watch it when I had time. Does anyone else find the search a bit unreliable?

Thanks for the tip!
I read the book many years ago and look forward to the film.
