Don't give up on it Leonora47. Its only one storyline and it'll peter out. Makes a change from the devastatingly attractive Phil and Max cutting a swathe through all the women of Walford. That was always a struggle for me to understand!

The writing and story lines have been poor for ages I think.

I am sick to death of Walford Comp, and Bex and her love life, hormones and teenage angst. It's been dragging on for ages now yet I find all the teenager tedious. If the writers want to pull in teenage viewers why don't they call the soap Grange Hill and be done with it.

And now we have some American youth drafted in for the teenage plot to expand. The return of the miserable Michelle leaves me cold. Amazing how she is now running the house hold so quickly. Few of the storylines are credible and many of the actors are unconvincing.

Kim should have been written out ages ago. As for Denise, she'd have cracked long ago given she is involved in trauma after trauma.

It's become plodding and slow moving and I really don't care very much if I miss an episode. I am on the verge of giving up.

I now video the omnibus and watch about half of it.

Dont get me started on "Michele Fowler".

I do like Kim though and know others who like her too.

Kim is a high spot for me! I think generally the stories are OK but they all drag on far too long. The Bex/Louise/Shaki story is sadly quite believable but needs to be wrapped up. The Michelle/Preston story is just daft. Sloppy writers getting desperate? New writers needed I reckon.

It does seem to have suffered since Dominic Treadwell Collins left as producer. The new chap has his own ideas of where the programme is heading, hopefully it has an upward turn soon. So many regulars have left over the last year I was beginning to think there would be no one left in the square. Do they make a point of the young cast members to try and get more young viewers? Even so, I am still addicted to the thing, my one bit of constant veg telly. I like Kim too though I didn't at first. I do miss Masood and his family. Don't know what to make of the new 'chelle either.

I like Kim too, speaks a lot of truth in amongst all the ranting! Wish they would get rid of Mick, even when he smiles he looks miserable.

Corrie is successful because of usually having a 'lighter' storyline going as well as a heavy one. There are also some very good funny characters. Gemma is a joy in her awful way as is Tim and don't get me started on Norris! Eastenders needs more of these type of character. Kim isn't enough!

Mick is going on an extended sabbatical Printmiss due to overwork, your wish granted. I agree with the spin off idea for the younger cast. I find Kim a bit of light relief amongst all the misery. The Michelle/ Preston story line is interesting but the acting is not credible. I am not enjoying Enders as much as I once did but will go with it for a while longer.

I agree Jane10. Plus I do like it when the "oldies" get involved. I miss them in Corrie for example when you can see that they went on their christmas breaks and so are missing around the february episodes.

I do agree that some of the acting and story lines leave a lot to be desired but hasn't there always been teenage story lines right from the beginning? Think the young Sharon, Michelle, Ian and all the rest that came and went. There was some kind of spin off in 2010 called e20 but I don't think it lasted long.

I missed some episodes whilst in hospital at the end of last year, and suddenly realise I have not seen Masood for some time, can't remember what has happened to him, anyone help. It has really got to me. Thanks

He went off on a round the world trip with his youngest son. Shame, I liked him and his family.

I think the actress who plays Bex is brilliant, and the bullying storyline at the school is very belivable.

I read today that Christopher Timothy is joining the cast as one half of a married couple. I can't remember who's playing his wife. Apparently true to form the character has a murky past.

The recovery from the two crashes ( bus and chip shop) is remarkably swift. I doubt if Kush and Denise's coupling could be achieved with a broken collarbone!
It's time for some reality.

Quite right J52 we are not idiots, and would like something that is a little true to life. I too like Bex, and that storyline was I think quite good, but there is really so little of interest now that I wonder why we settle down to watch!

I agree an amazing feat by Kush, as if.
I notice he was back to wearing a sling the next morning.

Christopher Timothy and Maggie Steed have lived in Walford for years and are friends with Dot. They are moved from their estate to Albert Square.
How big is Walford?

I don't know, but it has a ring road! Mentioned when the emergency services could get through to the bus! The only ring roads that I know in London are the 406 North circular or the South circular ( and that's not a proper ring road). Walford has taken on the persona of a small town. I'm always amazed at how they make a living. They seem to do all right living from hand to mouth and bouncing back from catastrophe. How has Mick been able to go to?? When he was so hard up?
