After watching Eastenders right from the first episode, I've had enough.
Once upon a time, the children of the main characters only put in an appearance when needed to move the plot along. That was fine, we saw how they were growing, but they weren't central to the stories.
I realise that 'enders needs to attract a young audience, before we oldies all die out but, watching tonight's episode felt like watching an old episode of Waterloo Road.
Who the Hell are all these teenagers, with their raging hormonal tantrums?
Maybe there's room for a spinoff series.
I'm sure that there would be an audience for, Young Eastenders, which would train young actors to graduate into Eastenders Proper when needed.
The teenage audience would lap it up, and we adults could concentrate on the extraordinary tangles in the lives of the adult characters.

I was also wondering how Mick to be absent as Shirley is in prison and aren't they both the Licencees of the Vic? Shirley will be barred as I don't think its allowed if you have a prison record.

The Designated Premises Supervisor. (DPS) previously known as the landlord does not have to be on the premises at all times for alcahol to be served.

Thanks ninathenana I didn't realise that makes sense now.

Break two eggs into a cold pan and scoop them out perfectly fried less than a minute later-I want that cooker!

Can anyone tell me if I`ve missed something? Why is the roof at the Queen Vic still leaking, when most of the time it isn`t raining?

Now you are all getting picky, this is soapland where anything goes, you will be expecting political debate in the caff next grin

I said the same last night callgirl
How did Shirley attend the funeral without a prison guard. Have they wiped of the extra time for assaulting her cell mate ?

And she appears to be allowed to wear her own clothes.

Well, with all it's faults, Eastenders still appears to have a following, one just wonders what will happen next - it will have nothing to do with the storey line.

Do you think Max is working for a company which plans to buy up the whole of Albert Square for 'modernisation'. He is a creepy customer, and appears to be sizing up property, and certainly getting on the right side of Carmel, now offering to buy the freehold of the Vic. Whatever next?
And really all that business with the dog, is just too much. Why on earth do I still watch?

I have watched eastenders since its inception, 1983 i believe, but have now decided i have had enough of the dreadful plot lines and toxic relationships. So yesterday i turned over and watched gardening with monty don. Goodbye EE. I will not miss you.

And why, if they all live in the square and are generally broke, do they spend so much time and money in the cafe instead of popping indoors to put the kettle on.

silverlining48 Sat 22-Apr-17 10:03:42

And dont get me on why none of them appear to have a washing machine!

ninathenana Sat 22-Apr-17 10:06:15

I'm starting to feel that way silverlining I don't record or do catch up for it anymore.

Lauren will go to work for the company Max works for and will suss what they're planning and blow the whistle.
Its amazing how Max with his crap CV and time in jail miraculously was taken on by a big property company.
'Willing suspension of disbelief' called for all round I think. I'm still willing though!

Max has a Mr Big behind him. They met on the London Eye just after he made his re appearance. I suspect it's a character who is 'dead'.

I think emanate is getting good at moment as well as corrie

Salford General seems to have solved the, 'bed shortage' problem.
Its amazing how, whenever a cast member is caught up in a life -threatening disaster, or even a minor accident, they are immediately snuggly bedded down in a private room.
In the rest of the UK, an eight hour wait in A &E, or even on a trolley in a corridor is the norm.
How is it that Salford is able to achieve this?

Leonora47 Fri 28-Apr-17 23:55:40

Sorry - I meant Walford!

Jane10 Sat 29-Apr-17 13:36:28

Its the parking at Holby City that gets me. Everyone can always park right at the front. No trudging on from parking spaces at the back of beyond like other hospitals -that is even if there are actually spaces at all!

ninathenana Sat 29-Apr-17 14:29:52

Another programme that annoys me in the same way Leonora is Doctors which is on in the afternoon.
Walk in to the GP surgery and see a doctor just like that. Need admitting to St Phils, get a private room. As if !!
